Sadly, it didn't work for me. I have the same configuration as yours and followed all instructions, but I couldnt find "remove all old drivers option"

Everything I have tried hasn't worked. The only thing that will is never buying a shitty HP product again. What a joke. Edit: To anyone still struggling with these second-rate laptops, I think I figured out the problem. Go to your settings and turn off all audio enhancements. That seemed to fix the issue for me. Before I had to have my volume up to near 60 to hear anything, now I can drop it down to 20 and still have everything come in crystal clear. HP is still a pile of hot shit, but at least I don't have to deal with the hassle of moving my files from one device to a new one.

using the old driver is actually not good but this method really fixes the crackling sound, using the AMD driver from HP makes it impossible for me to play games using Vulkan.
