Many PE levers broke after a hard paper jam in Epson WF-7710 and WF-7720. The lever is critical to Epson's printing function. When there is no paper fed to the printer, the lever drops down and blocks the light in the paper ejection (PE) sensor. We will show in this video that the Epson lever only has protection if you pull the jammed paper forward and easily broke if you pull it backward. If the lever is broken or misplaced, the Epson will think there is a paper in the printer and tries to clean it. Therefore, you will get a false paper jam error. We show a method to replace the lever.
