@@thattechdad4929 no problem. This is only an issue with motion that has been shot in 24fps. At 30fps or above, the picture is smooth and it is like you're watching cable TV. Most if not all UK channels broadcast in 24fps, but in the US, they have even their news channels in 50fps and the quality is amazing in comparison
Thanks for this excellent little tip - dramatically improved my football viewing experience. I actually found that it seemed to improve even further by putting LG tv in "game" mode, as that doesn't seem to even have the TruMotion as an option, and viewing quality in HD was still very good
Legend. Watching Scotland Ukraine right now on a new LG and the ball movement was so bad. Changed in time for the second half come back from the lads…!
I still have this problem even when I turn it off. It’s no where near as bad, but it still judders :/ I have an LG UHD TV 50UP81 - Any other tips to help please?
Take off all processing the tv is doing to the picture , don’t put it in game or cinema mode - just the normal setting and out everything to standard 👍🏻
@@thattechdad4929 Yeh that’s the best I can get. I do use my PS4 to play the Sky app for football which the app doesn’t offer the HD channels for it. Do you think that could be playing a part in the trail effect of the ball too??
It might be - anything where the picture gets processed could be causing it - if you have all the tv setting right, it could be, I don’t have a ps4 connected so don’t know any settings for that - sorry man 👍🏻
MCFI always causes artifacts. It’s never perfect, as it’s literally doing guess work, and creating/interpolating fake frames. This is why I NEVER use it…artifacts, and obvious SOE. Sure, it can smooth and fix one scenes in a movie or show, but then it completely ruins another. What really makes me laugh, or really, makes my blood boil….is when people game with MCFI enabled. 🤦♂️
Yeah totally having this on can really destroy the picture in some scenes but general viewing of movies etc it works well - I just thought I would highlight this as a lot of people will be watching he euro 2020 football and it even know this setting is on by default ! Thanks man - if you can give me a subscribe that would be awesome buddy 👍🏻
