Fitbit trackers can be a pain to get working on Android devices, sometimes they just work, others times it is a real struggle to get the right combination of settings and toggles.
So, in this video, there are three settings to check and change to make sure you have done everything possible to get the tracker to sync when it is supposed to and record your activities correctly.

@@mikesunboxing I really do mean that, I have Multiple Sclerosis, and have a tendancy to go deaf at any point in time and it lasts for as long as it wants, this saves me by letting me know my alarms for certain meds and things, I wouldn't hear it otherwise. My whole MS community will know about this, I hope they can tell you what it means to them too.

Thank you so much for this video. My android app, and my Fitbit Charge 4 stopped communicating, and consequently I was not getting any of my stats. The ones from yesterday showed up, but not todays. You spoke clearly and in a way that I could understand how to find and perform all the steps you wanted me to take. You mentioned that someone recommended you pay attention to the battery, so I made sure to not skip over your recommended battery settings.

Finally!!!! I think the 3rd settings with the battery did the trick. 3 days straight without reinstalling the apps. Keeping my fingers crossed!

I found and was able to do the first 2 of your 3 steps, but the 3rd with the battery I can't seem to find/don't have the launch feature on Battery section of my settings !! ?? I also cant find the 3rd step for setting manually fitbit-app on battery setting. But im trying to set NON-RESTRICT my fitbit-app while using Battery Saver. This kind of setting is available on my phone. My phone is Redminote4, actually i dont know whether this kind of setting available or not on ur phone..

Thanks for the info. The permissions in the fitbit app were the issue with syncing between the phone app and the fitbit smart watch. After that hiccup, the rest of the smart watch app installation was easy. A million thanks to your RU-vid channel. I am very selective on which channels I subscribe to but I just had to subscribe to yours. You made my wife's birthday on December 30th. I got her a fitbit luxe. She's wanted on for quite awhile.

Hi Mike ,I did all of your above tips--- thank you ,,but my charge 3 still didn't synchronise, so I re-booted charge 3 whilst charging and then from my PC I uninstalled the application and on my mobile too and then re-installed, then I turned the WIFI OFF with the charge 3 fitbit on my wrist I went through the whole fitbit re-install and synchronisation process on my PC. It Worked. I have had absolutely no problems at all, Notifications work, Synchronisation Works, it all works. In conclusion I did all your advise plus app re-install on phone + PC and the wifi OFF. My setup is going in circles. I can't get past 'set up charge 3 Step 2 of 3 Downloading 100%' 1st time it said update failed and gave me the option to try again. It's been an hour and minutes of 'set up charge 3' process please help if you know

Same thing happen with ours first time round. It took ages to update the firmware. I thought is was DOA but just left in and eventually it came back to life. I think we restarted the tracked and the phone just to be sure.

I never write reviews but.... This video saved me sooo much time. I had a versa and the notifications kept on disconnecting so I sent it back. Bought a Samsung galexy and it broke after 6 months so there was an offer on the versa 3. I heard they have difficulty connecting to Huawei phones but thought I'd try it anyway. SAME problem happened and kept saying I had to restart my phone (which did nothing). So after watching what felt like hundreds of RU-vid fixes I came across this one. And it was as simple as doing the last step you suggested. Have the watch for over a week now and it hasn't skipped a beat- works perfectly! Thank you!!

Hi, I have a samsung Galaxy S6 and I found something similar in the "Power Save" section - Device Maintenance - Battery - Power Saving Mode - scroll down to Unmonitored Apps and ensure FitBit is added here - this will allow your Fit Bit app to use power as needed and not be put to sleep - haven't tested this yet but is the closest I could find

Same.. sad that the fella doing the video doesn't answer. Lol and it's been 5 months since the question was asked. Lol 🤦😄 I'll have to keep searching. My Fitbit won't sync and says the battery is empty yest when I tap it, it appears fully charged. Ok.. off I go to find a solution ☺️. If I find it I'll come back and share!! ☮️

Hi Mike. I've been using my FB Charge-2 with my android for many years and have had trouble syncing with my Xiaomi Note-11. Your video has helped me connect with the cell phone effortlessly. My workaround was using the old iphone 5 to sync once a week. Thank you for your help buddy!

Hey Mike I had the same issue about 6 months ago and did those steps but it took me awhile to figure it out. Now I use the Samsung Galaxy Smart watch to track my fitness. And FYI the Samsung Watch has connection issues too. I have to restart the watch and my phone and that always works. Good video.

i have totally given up on fitbit for now, the apple watch and ios eco system just works and i am fed up trying to patch android with almost everything that ultimately fails at some point

Waw it works..💓 im using redminote4 as my android, and fitbit charge2. Even the steps is a little bit different, but im trying to give all access to my fitbit-app on my setting... 1. Giving all access app-permission for fitbit-app | 2. Turn on the all notification for fitbit-app | 3. Do not restrict fit-bit app while on Battery saver mode... It was difficult to sync my fitbit before, my phone can't track my device(fitbit). After doing these 3 steps, im trying to sync again my fitbit.. and Voila.. its work..💕 thank you..

After following this tricks, sometimes my device (charge 2) still cant sync to my phone (redminote 4) after i turned off the bluetooth for a while (to minimize the battery consumption, i usually turned off my Bluetooth. And cant sync after its on). Dont worry if its happen to yours. Just repeating the instructions in the video and dont forget to REBOOT YOUR PHONE. Its important.. and its works! The syncing problem is healed :)

I have a P10 as well and have been trying to update my new inspire for over two hours and it just keeps resetting.... so f'en frustrating, ready to bring back to the store!

My watches software was wearFit 2.0 and what you said about notifications? It works better than it ever has was going to throw it in the bin, thanks a million Sir, and your time. your video information, is near three years old, But! just like a Funkadelic Parliament Album? Just so you know the way I did it was go to my app in the device setting and clear the cache not sure if it will fix the problem permanently but has worked so far

Might be too early to say for sure, but I think you've just fixed my problems. I've had this fitbit since christmas and it's only done what it's meant to do about 8 days in total!

Hi! I have Galaxy S10 phone and my daughter has a Fitbit Ace. My daughter doesn't have her one phone yet. I downloaded Fitbit app and connected the watch to the phone. But the phone doesn't see it. Is there any solution?

This fixed all my issues : Go to fitbit app Add new device Search for the charge3 (you may need to reset it first) DON'T PUT IT IN THE CHARGING CRADLE When it finds the device it gives a Bluetooth pass code Enter this code WRONG It will send you a new code Enter this code WRONG as well It will send a third code Enter this code correctly That should fix sync issues Keep it out of the charger for the whole process
