Dude I have been fighting this issue for a month, and I’ve been trying to run a server and I have to allocate ram to it, 4gb to be exact. And I was only having 5.9 available to me. So I was struggling trying to run 1.9 gb to myself. And you finally gave me my answer. I’m forever grateful man, keep grinding!
watched too much famous solution videos but nothing worked, than i accidentaly crashed on ur vdo nd miracle happened ,i followed ur steps on my amd ryzen 5 pc [not only on desktop it works on different things too] nd my pc is now more than happy to use its unused ram thank uhh soo much brother♥♥🥰🥰🥰🥰 love from india🥳🥳
Installed 16gb of RAM on my ryzen APU. 15.1gb is hardware reserved. BIOS and Windows detects all RAM installed but can only use 900mb when pc boots. Tried a brand new set of identical RAM but nothing changed. Changed the buzzer size and still 15.1 reserved, any idea why this is happening?
How can I do this on a laptop (Acer nitro 5) The Vega 8 integrated graphics of the ryzen 5 3550H takes up more than 2gb of the available 8 GB ram and only 5.94 gb is usable . When I enter boot there is no such option as UMA frame buffer size . Could someone please help me.
@@Shortsfortheday21 Yes if you do yourself it does void the warranty but I did it from acer service centre and they did it for free and the warranty is intact.
I have 16gb (4x4) ram and 8.1gb is hardware reseved, I have a AMD Ryzen 2600 (not a APU), GTX 1660ti and a MSI X470 GAMING PLUS mother board. I cant find anything in integritet graphics settings in bios. Help pleas!?

I am using an Acer Nitro 5. There are literally NO options like the ones you showed in the video in the BIOS. What can i do? I have only 5.9gb usable out of 8gb.
Dear Thanks for the video. I have installed 8gb RAM in Asus laptop and it has Ryzen 3250 processor. The available RAM Is only 6 GB. If I set this UMA buffer to 512mb, will it be enough? I am not a gamer but doing some video editing using camtasia software. Will it reduce laptop performance or will add more performance? Please do reply dear. Thanks and regards

I have the same issue with my 8GB RAM, I can only get 5.95GB. If I configure it, will it affect the gaming performance of my PC? Any answers are much appreciated.
go to chipset then internal make it forces..then next option under this change to umei specified then next option under this change to your require like 512mb

HELP Needed!!! I am facing the same issue, with Ryzen 5 3500U Vega 8, but the thing is that the options in the BIOS are not visible on my laptop. Don't know what to do.
@@Patrick-cz3pb yes, I was able to set the memory to 64 mb and freed up my ram. i had already figured it out myself. but i forgot what where it is in the bios. ill check later.
@@Patrick-cz3pb hello idk if u had already configured the UMA Frame Buffer on ur own . so ill just leave thi here. So in BIOS menu u need to go the "Advanced" Tab above and select "Intergrated Graphics Configuration" and in "Intergrated Graphics" it is defaulted to Auto so you have to change it to Force. Then the UMA frame buffer size can be clickable. Also sett the Initiaate Graphics adapter to [PEG]. sry for late reply i was gaming.
dude i got a laptop with same hardware reserved memory which is 2.1 gb and usable ram is only 5.9 . So i went to the bios and guess what i didn't found any advance settings there :)...........its HP Pavillion 15 gaming series.... can you help me with that ??
if you are gigabyte motherboard follow my step , restart spam delete go to chipset then internal make it forces..then next option under this change to umei specified then next option under this change to your require like 512mb

Hello can u help me? Same problem here, my computer illiteracy is not advance. Currently using asus laptop rayzen 5 3500u radion vega 8 2.10ghz upgraded 8gb ram usable 5.95gb. Hardware/GPU 2.1gb reserved. The problem is my BIOS is not fancy like u got. i could not fine any any graphic card setup to adjust or it doesnt have options to configure. Any solution?
@@RextechPC thank you very much for reply. It seem heavy ram process seeing on task manager by that gpu reserved. It really work well when u gaming, i can see the gpu reserve ram is taken but pitty me for heavy google tabs and multi windows users. Now i know i have to live with that.
Restart your computer and go into the bios, then look for the setting UMA frame buffer size setting, and change it to as high as you want it, not all APU’s let you go to three gigs though.
i had a problem since i build my own rig last year! I got 2 x Hyperx Predator 8GB DDR4 RAM, but when i boot into my MOBO BIO(Asrock B450M) > change to 3200Mhz Profile > then save and reboot. But it always failed and reset back to 2666mhz. But when i change it to 3000Mhz then its running good. Any solution for that problem, i did notice the voltage consumption there are red whenever i change to 3200Mhz.
it's normal to be red, set to 1.35V for XMP profile. remember to update you BIOS to latest as well, but only if you're using Ryzen 3000 series. if you're using ryzen 2000 series, predator cannot go 3200mhz. it's not stable
@@prokillerx321 you might wan to try manual tuning instead of XMP , set to manual timing set CL-16-18-36 Voltage Dram m 1.35v , dont use XMP . others put auto
