For anyone doing solution 3, just paste this to the bar where u can type stuff at the top of regedit: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management It'll just save u trouble by instantly opening where the video is guiding you 1 by 1.

Guys!!!! This tutorial help me a lot I mean like gold….. this help you get the maximum of your RAM Memory and play video games with higher FPS follow the tutorial. Btw I’m using (Ryzen 5 2600 and GTX 1070ti and 16gb RAM) and I’m playing +250FPS… Thanks a lot keep it up!!!

If none of these options have worked for you try and test your ram slots. My nephew had the same problem we tried all these options. When we tested each ram slot to see if it would post and swapping here sticks and moving back and forth to be sure we were able to find that one slot was bad and PC would not post with one stick in the right slot, but one stick on the left slot posted fine. If both were installed the slot would recognize the ram, but could not utilize it. At least this way you know what the problem could be no other method works.

When I checked Boot / Advance, I noticed that windows was using only one processor. My laptop has 12 processors, so I changed the boot to use all 12. That alone made my usable memory go from 2 GB to 15.7 GB (out of 16 GB).

My guess is that you have one of those computers with integrated graphics in the CPU. Rather than having a external graphics chip with its own RAM, the integrated graphics gets assigned a block of RAM to used for video RAM. This is a very economical approach to save money in several ways but it does subtract from your available RAM. If you require less video resolution, fewer screens, and less color depth you can decrease the RAM assigned to VIDEO RAM I think, in your BIOS setup, that will increase the RAM your CPU sees for Windows when you boot up. You can usually find tables for your video drivers that will give you the RAM required for certain video combinations. 2GB is a normal set-aside for quality graphics. - full palette, full resolution. THat leaves 6 GB for main usable, non-video RAM.

Saved the day! Installed 32gb ram and only 11.5 was available. Rust was crashing all the time and freezing and now 31.8 available, amazing. No freezes and smooth gameplay now!

Hey, look at that a tutorial video that covered three options in 5 minutes. SERIOUSLY more creators should do this. I mean yeah, it's nice to hear why something isn't working and the minutia, but if you're at this state, the last thing you want to do is scrub through a video to find the right information that pertains to your issue.

I just installed 2 8gig ram set in gamingpad3 lenoa. It has integrated graphics windows 11 and all ram test are good. I am going to start your video troubleshooting now. World of warcraft started freezing an hour into play after new ram. Spent 15hours so far doing everything and finally found your video. I hope these are my problems too considering I have all those issues with windows only showing less usable ram then available and the game crashes. Thank man seems like you are helping way more than the other guys!

Coming back to say Thank you. Resolved my problem. 1x8GB DDR4 on a Single slot. Only 5.49GB was usable out of 8GB. I did both things: 03:05 & 04:35
