You can also sew throughout that patch with a jeans coloured thread for extra protection

How would you sew it exactly, i came up exagtky with those ideas myself because so done with the damage that causes me to buy again and again my leggings...

The idea ofbthe patch to iron and then to strenghten it with sewing over it and i thought to put a patch on each side of the fabric and over the line of sewing preexisting on the pants. I thought it would avoid the tearing... And at the same time i feel like it's gonna make something super thick... And atvthe same time of it works ... That's what matters ! But yeah i thought to sew cause as i use them daily, the oatch i think wouldn' tresist the frequent washes

I tend to wear out my jeans in same spot over and over. And my cell phone wears a whole in back pocket. I have found 2 solutions to prolonging my jeans. 1st) little bit of petroleum jelly ( or clear diaper rash cream) where friction causes jeans to wear out. Do this just one time after every wash. You only need Just a little as your body heat from wearing them will help spread it out further. Just as diaper rash ointment reduces friction to skin and prevents chafing so to does it provide same protection from friction on denim. 2nd) I place piece of leather cut in same shape of my jean pocket inside jean pocket this keeps phone from wearing whole in outside of pocket.

I wondered the same but i think it makes sense. I think it must hold the fabric tighter together . But does it resist a long time with frequent whashes... That's what i wonder about . Ooo i think ithat also the patch has the effectlike a barrier that keeps the moist inside so the rubbing favric is going to be less prone to tearing also for that reason cause it is totally dry surface . Hmmm that's cool cause i cale up with the idea of the patch but i really was gonna put it outside and over the sewing

I used to have this prob a lot with more expensive Jean.. American eagle and places like that .. switched to old navy jeans and haven’t had that issue

I’ve only used the brand Pellon because it’s what’s available at Joanns and Walmart.
