The best video so far on how to fix laundry faucet!! Really good u show the tools required, and to turn off the shut off valve before starting! And the camera work is done well also, we can see exactly wot u are doing. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 The other videos had good advice too, but terrible camera work, could hardly see what they were doing.

Thanks so much for the great explanation! I had exactly the same thing on my Laundry tub faucet, and I was able to replace the valve seat washers on it to fix the leak.

I just changed the washers on my laundry tub faucet today with success. Should have done this 5 years ago. The washer used was the same size as in this video. Much better now with the new washers. I used a 13/16 inch wrench to loosen the faucet. It is not a common size in some wrench set so check if you have this size or use an adjustable wrench.

@@jonahvlogsdiy4143 my sink is fixed (partially) but it is older and has a square o ring.... trying to fine one of those now. It leaks a little out of the handle when I turn it now.

Thank you for posting, very big help! At the start of the video you very helpfully indicated the necessary tools for the job but I did not see where you used the plumber's wrench and the Phillips head screwdriver. I suppose these might have been necessary had the washer repair not stopped the leaky faucet?

nice tutorial did i see an o-ring on the valve body just above treads? i thought these were pipe threads. my valve leaks from the handle area not by spout .thanks

Do you know what that screw under the tap is for? We have a valve there with 1/8 copper hose running into a drain on the floor. It is constantly running hot water. This wasn’t always occurring. Very confused but the same faucet.

ok, so how do you magically keep the seat and spring place on models that aren't held in by a screw? they want to fall out when you're trying to push in the insert......stupid design on mine!

JONAH VLOGS & DIY I got it. had to use plumbers grease to keep the rubber , and spring "glued" together. worked good

I had shut off the main water source. Then as I'm unscrewing the nut on the hot water all this water is gushing out of the tap. I quickly screwed the nut back. Is it just hot water sitting around that needs to be drained? Is this normal?

Once your main shutoff is turned off there should be no more water coming out of your tap, after your bleed off the excess standing water between the line. If you have water still leaking when the main shutoff valve is turned off then the leak is coming from your your main shutoff.

Turn off the water from the hot water heater for the hot water and the main valve for the cold. Hot water flows from the hot water heater to the hot water side of the faucet.
