I have this issue and I’ve come to a conclusion. If you’ve done the steps that are rebooting your switch, Rebooting your router/wifi. Cleared your cache and it still doesn’t work. Your switch is broken and will need to be repaired. The switch has lost the ability to communicate with anything wirelessly. This means you can’t even perform a system update or even try and connect with wifi. This basically makes your switch worthless. I’m pretty pissed off and I’m done with Nintendo since they clearly don’t know one thing about how to run and online service. Their devices aren’t even well equipped to have properly functioning wireless connections. My advice from know on is to never buy anything digitally on the switch and only buy hard copy games. I’m going back to Xbox and PlayStation. Companies that properly run an online service.

none of this worked for me really. I reset it a few times and all of a sudden it worked for a day and then broke again I've followed all these steps and more and still not working.

Every single video i have watched has not fixed this issue! Everybody always blames the wifi and thats not the issue considering other devices are connected just fine.. Nintendo needs to address this issue but they never will. The switch itself WILL NOT even search for available wifi networks. It only shows Registered Networks. Cant update without wifi so your not helping anybody

Bruh the error code is for the switch not being able to use wifi at all how is doing anything with the router involved also how the hell am I gonna update it or fuck with my network settings if it don’t work in the first place

My problem is is that I'm getting these errors when I'm connected to the internet. When I'm connected to a wired connection, I'm connected to the internet. I can see how many friends are online, I can go into the eShop. But I can't connect to the network when I go to play games

Mine had this error code. It wouldn’t even let me attempt to connect to wifi at all after clearing settings. Also wouldn’t pair with joycons. Nintendo is having me mail it in. 😕

So I did a factor reset, and I got connect to the wifi. But then when I did a system update, once it was done updating my wifi isn't working, any way to fix this without tfactor resetting it all the time?

I got orange screen of death, this thing and outdated firmware... I'm incredibly screwed. It's unusable

This error is most likely due to a failed wireless nic. If you have downloaded stuff, I wouldn't factory reset, since you won't be able to download again.

Thanks, but that screengrab of the router password is wrong - that's for logging into the admin on the router itself, not for joining the wifi! Thanks anyway for a useful video...

So I have the new OLED and i am having issues. I reset the cache like you did, restarted the console, and it still shows up with the error code saying wireless communication is unavailable due to an error. Even when I hard wire it to the internet it still tries to connect wirelessly… Any ideas on how to fix this?

this was a big problem for me and this video didnt help but what did work was turning on flight mode then restarting then turning flight mode off and that fixed it instantly

Yea, I'm starting to get this error now after trying to fix my switch. The right side rail on the console was loose, but now I'm getting this error. Can't do much with it, since trying to play a game will just give me an similar error. I thought about getting a WiFi LAN adapter for some luck

Im having the exact same error. It only happens when I try to click on Internet Connection. Tried restarting and clearing cache but that didnt help. Basically I cant connect to any wireless connection. Only wired. I dont understand why this is happening to me. Didnt have this error earlier.
