Fix No Internet Access on VirtualBox Windows XP 

Thank you! A detail that saves a lot of time: After you have installed the guest additions you can reboot the system and then go to Devices > Drag n Drop > Host to Guest. When you finish downloading the drivers you are able to drag and drop the .exe in the VM instead of going through the whole process of creating a shared folder.

You are a brainsaver!! I had no idea that the problem was not sharing the files in Windows 10 first! I bet a lot of people are having this same problem. THANK YOU!!!!

Can I clone a XP OS ( from another computer ) and put it in a Virtual Box? ( I have an old XP system with all my files and the MOBO died, can I clone my old XP HDD and put it in Virtual Box? Another question: I have a XP OS on Microsoft Virtual PC thumb drive but it will only run when it is a fresh install. ( the only way I can use it is if I dump it and reinstall it ). How do I use it without reinstalling each time? Also when I run MS VPC it will not add a printer/hardware. I have herd the Virtual Box adds hardware easy. Can I put my Microsoft Virtual PC XP OS into Virtual Box? Thank you

When you can't play an online game in splitscreen mode so you have to install a brand new OS just to do that.

Awesome - this worked. All the other tutorials failed, but this actually worked.

just so everyone knows if yours says anything like incompatible when you go to install the driver its likely because you downloaded the wrong bit version. just download the other one and put it in your xp driver folder you made and run the driver again. if that dose not work then i don't know what will.

driver install program says cannot install drivers. no intel(r) adapters are presents in this computer. but I'm already did everything on network settings. I tried bridged network settings too. and yeah I choose already intel(r) one in settings but still same error.

hi i was following you so well, but when i trying to save the folder setting ( make my window xp sharing the xp driver folder) is keep on showing me i can not save this because " the machine is not mutable or running(state is saved). and result code is VBOX_E_INVALID_VM_STATE. Thanks, I still own a Zune HD and I ultimately found that I couldn't sync to it without an internet connection (main OS is Xubuntu 18.04.1 so you can see why it wouldn't work here)

Weird, I can do google searches, look for images, get results, etc. but when follow a further link from that search it just gives "The page cannot be displayed, use Tools>Diagnose Connection Problems" result. What am I doing wrong? :-)

Hello, my internet says limited in Win XP virtual box, where it works fine out of virtualbox, PLZ HELP!!!! I Can't install firefox browser, as Internet Explorer is outdate. cant figure out what I am doing wrong! I am running Linux Mint 19 Cinnamon and trying to get internet connection to Windows XP 32 virtual box. I down loading files, into folder. named it Xp files, shared it, etc...i selected bridged connector but the only name available is Enp4s0 the advanced button under that shows the file i need intel pro/1000 T server bridged adapter enp4s0 the same file that's in the windows xp virtual machine but it still wont share i guess since i still dont have internet connection.

Did everything as you did, but i still can't get internet access.

make sure windows XP service pack 3 or the intel driver wont run. gives "The Procedure entry point EncodePointer could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNAL32.dll"

Anyone knows where i can find the drivers now ?
