This video goes through a process of fixing a Playstation 5 that will not update or reset due to error code SU-101312-8

So after you put it back together , you ended having to factory reset for it to update ? Cause your ps5 said it reinitialized & was resetting before it updated . I’m trying to see if I’m gonna have to do the same

Yes, exactly. I had to initialize it because that was the only option available, which automatically resets the ps5.
