Thank you! I woke up to this problem this morning after having used and moved my ASTRO A50's last night just fine. I was so scared, and upset. Tried to update on my computer, but kept failing. But this trick did the work. I use my headset for both work from home and gaming. I like the freedom to move around while I'm working, so this is a life saver!

Still didn’t fix mine. Headset won’t turn on charge or do anything. Worked fine one day then stopped the next. It won’t reset it won’t turn on it won’t connect to the base station.

It’s a lot but try to connect the base station and headphones to another computer or laptop and download the software needed I’ve been thur this problem several times and there’s a number of different things thatll fix it every time

@@OFNSVEofficial fixed bro?? I had the issue but I left mine to charge for a good 3hrs before even trying to reset, I had unintentionally left mine on all day and it wouldn't reset or power on. Left on base "trying to charge" came back and tried again and instantly powered on. I feel your worry and I hope everyones A50s gets better cause I freaking love mine ❤️

Get the ASTRO command center application. From there try to get it to where it says update firmware place headset in dock. Often times the light will come on. This is step 2 if hard reset doesn't work. And just keep repeating these steps followed by restarts redownloading up. It should eventually work. It's a joke I know... happens to ms a couple times a year some are worse than others requiring the application.

OK. I got my headset as a hand me up from my son and had the same problem. Firstly I had no idea that there was a game button and voice button on the side of them!!! (I'm a pensioner and not good with technology). Having spent the last 2 hours looking at reviews for new headphones you have now saved me at least £100 so thank you very much. I just now need to google what these extra buttons do.

Idk how this works for everyone but me. I’ve tried resetting them in every way and I still get nothing. The charging lights just continue to blink fast and not charge. I’m on ps4 if that means anything. The “PS4” light is very dim compared to the “PC” light when switched. I’m totally lost here.

This legitimately worked for me. I just gotten my A50s in on 2/26. the next day they stopped working. Left them on base to charge for hrs nothing and charged it directly to wall all day still nothing. After watch this video of doing g a hard reset it freaking worked the light came back on. Thank you soo much you saved me the return hassle.

Thanks, this helped my issue, computer wouldn't even recognize the Astros in the command center. I had to do this AND hit the update firmware button for my headset to get "fixed" and recognized.

Ok. Thank you thank you thank you lol. Every single time this headset has either stopped working or refuses to charge I have opened it up and rummage through the guts of it and disconnected and reconnected the power supply each time when all I had to do was hold two buttons for 20 seconds lol that’s pretty great a five second fix or maybe 22nd fix for what I’ve been doing for about an hour or so 😅😂

If anyone is having an issue with this fix not working try unplugging the USB from your Xbox and then doing the hard reset and then plugging your USB back into the Xbox oh and by the way I could still charge my headset it would power off it would do everything I just didn't have volume from my Xbox Hey man I know this video is old but you have one problem with this reset maybe not but your video helped me get my headset working again except I had to do one extra step so I reset it like you did and my audio still wasn't working my headset with a sign I would hear my voice feedback through my mic I would hear the volume you know from The Voice and the game beeping when you turned the volume buttons up and down it still wouldn't work I hard reset my Xbox I tried everything after doing what you said and something told me to unplug the power from the USB from the Xbox and then I hard reset the headset how you explained I plugged it back in and it connected right away and I had volume I think what causes this issue yesterday before I went to bed because I work in the morning I put my headset on my Dock and the volume was still going through and I have my soundbar on and I kept hearing my headset volume so I turn my headset off on my Dock and when I went to turn my Xbox on today and play I had no sound from my Xbox so thanks again but if you did want to edit the video I'm not sure if your issue is different than mine but I had to do the hard reset like you but I had to unplug the USB from my Xbox for this to work thanks again man thanks again man

Ah this worked for me. I had a customer support guy explain to me these steps but I just assumed it wasn't working. He said to reset the headset while having them plugged in with a USB, and that after resetting the headset the LED should turn off, then flash white, then stay on amber. That wasn't happening for me, it'd just turn off, then go straight back to amber. So the color didn't matter. Once I did all this I was finally able to update the dumbass firmware on the Astro Command Center 👍
