FIX THAT DYNA WOBBLE! Dyna Motor Mounts and Sputhe Stabilizer installation 

That rear stabilizer is no joke. I just put one on my 04 fxd. I did not disconnect the rear suspension. I Probably should have, but it's on now. I ended up just using a super long 1/4" extension in the aft hole, got the front in, and then it was easier to do the rear bolt. Hopefully, it kills the wobble for the time being. Appreciate the video help with figuring out the stabilizer mounting.

I have a 1981 FLT (first Harley to ever have rubber motor mounts). What is interesting is, that it has the stabilizers for sideway movement installed from the factory. Even the swingarm rubbers are stabilized by the frame. If you ask me the design was better in the old days.

This reminded me of working on my Softail. Just trying to mount the rear turn signals meant I had to take half the bike apart. Good video!

My ‘99 wide glide just started the 80 mph shake. Got the bike bike torn down for a 98” upgrade with s&s 585 cams. Might as well fix this issue too. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for the Vid ! I agree, the Dyna chassis,powertrain mounting system is sketchy AF. You forgot to the mention the softail lowrider S alternative. No leaks, plenty of power and handles like a dream. That Dyna is very nice and I would guess over 20k invested.

Mate! Big thanks for the install video. Planning on getting a similar set up done on my FXDF. Always wondered if the Sputh Stabilizer (which I have) would fit with the Speed Merchant skid plate (which I also have). Thanks for clearing that up. Was wondering if you went with the Glide Pro rear motor mount as well or just the front? Also any word on how the set up of Sputh plus Pro Glide went after install? Thanks again from Aus & Ride On (AC/DC reference 😉 ).

I still watched the entire video... Even though I have already installed the sputhe kit on my 2016 FXDLS with new engine mounts. Definitely helps! I think it took me a hour to do it all. Definitely helps removing the rear wheel, but I didn't have a lift either

My 07 wide glide is doing the sway/wobble at higher speeds I put the pred. Front mount now I want to do the back mount with a stabilizer what one did you use? And will it work in my wide glide

Hey B, I'm caught between a V-twin and a hard place. I have two friends, both of whom want to sell me their bikes. I can only buy one and in your mechanical opinion, which is the better purchase: a 2009 Road Glide or a 2007 Dyna. I did not list mileage on either because I'm going to do an engine swap as soon as I snag whichever, so my main concern is pure fun factor. I've never understood the pay more to go slower (power-to-weight ratio) of baggers but they do have more of a boss hog presence and at the same time - I do like the looks of a well done Dyna. Both quoted me $8,000 (and the Dyna already has top and bottom mounted stabilizers) and if you were deciding between the two, which direction would you go? Especially if you knew that you were going to revamp everything anyway. I live in San Diego (lots of mandatory freeway riding) so the Road Glide wins out on long-distance quality but in all seriousness --- I am not buying a motorcycle for comfortability. That's what Cadillacs are for. Glide or Dyna? Which would John Wick pull up on?

What do you do about the Hydraulic break switch ? The sputh destroyed mine

take the belt guard off you will have all kinds of room on the primary side take the cap off the brake reservoir for the otherside to get the piece in not that hard but the sputh instructions are shitty to say the least

Great video and explanation. Love the attention to detail in chasing the threads and cleaning the stock parts. Mistake in using engine mount bolts and torquing brings me to what we say to make fun of ourselves, “we do it right cause we do it twice!” Great job!

Yeah I stripped top hole of rear isolator somehow. Harley is only place to get one quick for 150 bucks. It’s no better than any 70 dollar v twin or any others. Doesn’t hurt to just buy an extra n return. I didn’t take off pipe or rear wheel either. Replaced a bolt at a time and used starter bolt in kit. Save yourself tons of time in the front by just taking off nuts and use boots that are in there too imo

Hello! I've been driving a dyna for 14 years, during which time the 3rd engine mounting rubber mount is due for replacement! Maybe I'm crazy!? How much vibration will this tuning cause compared to the original factory? What do you recommend?

My friend did the exact same upgrade. Then last Wed added the inverted forks to it. So smooth now. Rivals pro built track bikes. He can get so fast and aggressive into corners now. Want to do the same upgrades to mine.

I have a 03dyna wide glide, and I am not sure if im getting the wobble or if it's just wind buffeting. When I hit straight aways, at around 65, 70, i definitely feel the front end shaking a bit, but it's also happening especially when crossing a bridge, or passing tractor trailers. ????? Either way, it's a little unnerving, and may do some of these add-ons just in case, so to speak. Great video, thanks for doing this. Stay safe man.

Hi, Is there any difference between the front and rear isolators ? I see the Drag Spec isolatoers on Ebay have different part numbers but look physically the same ,does anybody know. Cheers

Is it necessary to take the rear mount out to determine if it's defective or can that be seen from inspecting ?

What was the alignment tool you used? Im working on a clapped evo dyna and the front mount is smoked causing the motor and trans to loose alignment as soon as you get on the throttle hard. It’ll crack inners and back inner bolts out. Im gonna put fresh mounts on but i wana be sure i get everything aligned perfect
