Hey man, thank you for your help!! I followed the exact instructions on tableau knowledge base and they don't mention this important step. I lost a lot of time trying to figure out what I did wrongly when I finally found your video! Thanks!!
Thank you so much for this!!! I've been sitting in front of this all afternoon and half a night on a Friday!! Tried everything that I could but still didn't figure out why that's the case until watching this video, thank you so much for this troubleshooting video, it's still helping people after 2 years since you created it
Hi Anthony, You have my gratitude. There are so many tutorials on reset button but none has information about this important step, I was breaking my head on this. Thank you so so much. God bless you My friend.
Thank you! Gratitude and comments like this are why I keep sharing with the data community. Sometime I'll wonder if something is worth sharing and then I'm reminded that others are probably tackling the same issue. Hope your dashboard is running smooth now!
Thanks you it helped me. If you work with Tableau you should let them know to add this step on their tutorial because they don't mention that and it was my issue too
Thanks for this; I'm trying to troubleshoot resetting all filters with a 'pop out/'click to view more' sheet. Currently, when I click reset all, the pop out sheet is expanded, thoughts? Thanks!
Thank you, this was certainly helpful. I am also trying to get rid of highlighting when clicking the reset filter area but have so far been unsuccessful despite trying various things some of which work in bar and other charts but not in text or shape fields. Does anyone have any solution for this?
You’ve touched every area of the BI ecosystem except Power BI. Do we expect that to come in the future, or not? I think I know the answer, but I needed to ask😎
Anthony, great video and helped me solve my "head scratcher". Background music in the beginning and the end of the video is too loud and drowns your voice.
I have created the reset button. It works fine, it resets all value but the highlighted portion I used to filter, remains highlighted and others greyed out. How to fix this?
@@AnthonySmoak sorry should've been more clear, I am using different worksheets but the same data source. So I want to use filters across multiple dashboards using "all using this data source" but that doesn't work with reset button. So just wanted to know if you came across any such use case and got the reset filter to work?
@@jayrajparmar1727 You can apply filters across multiple sheets, just don't select the "applies to all worksheets with the same datasource" because that will also filter your "Reset Filters" worksheet(s). Manually select the worksheets you want to apply your filters to but exclude "Reset Filters" like the video demonstrates. Then create specific "Reset Filter" worksheets for each dashboard to address the specific needs of each dashboard.
@@AnthonySmoak okay let me try that, but as far as I remember, you don't see the sheets that are not on that dashboard. But thank you very much for the help :)
