TYSM my man! My online class was about to start at 1 hour and then a brownout happened here and when our electricity was restored I opened my pc back and I stumbled upon this black screen. For folks who this didn't work for, check to see if you have any type of overlay running. For me it was Yolomouse. A mouse cursor overlay to make the cursor more visible/custom in games the cursor is hard to keep track of. So any type of like gaming overlay might be the issue. Even say a FPS meter or something like that. Hope this helps.

My screen is white with the words Windows sign-in on top and a picture that looks like a note book page at the bottom (there is no sign-in box to enter password) and as soon as I touch the mouse, the whole screen is blank and turns grey. Please advise if it can be fixed and how. Ctrl+alt+delete does not do a thing, nothing is visible as soon as I move the mouse. Thanks.

what a legend, you just saved my life! heres what i did: i tried the ctrl + alt + del, did not work. then, i shut down my computer, opened it up again. hold the power for 5 seconds just like the video said. i did that until it showed a different screen. where i was brought to put my finger touch in, and im saved! my original problem was not being able to click or open any programs. thanks a lot! 🙂

i get the preparing automatic repair with the asus logo. it doesnt go into windows mode tho im so confused. it goes right into the black screen with cursor and nothing works 😭😭😭

it happen when the light suddenly goes and the time when the current switches to my Inverter and for a second PC goes off and when boots it end up with this and ctrl+alt+del menu also cant be open so i keep shutting it of with button then after restoring it boots but some programs like chrome and discord and any random program starts opening like a double chick it even as admin and it doesn't do anything can you help me with that ?

You're a real life saver, I've been trying all sorts of things for 2 days

With my pc, whenever I turn it on it takes 2-3 hours and after it turns on it looks normal until you click anything with the cursor, then the black screen appears. After I fix the black screen, my shortcuts and all apps on my taskbar disappears. If you right click or click anything on the desktop the black screen appears and disappears in 1 second. Sometimes when I turn it on the shortcuts and apps on the taskbar show up but when I open my Explorer, my hard drive disks are glitched and won't open. Anyone know how to fix? :(

I got this after downloading the fan control program (the one featured in jayztwocents channel) when i first opened it my pc crashed, after that no problems. The next day, which is today, the black screen thing started to happen but in 10 to 30 seconds it still gets me to the log in screen and everything works apparently fine. Do you thing i should worry? Have you tried/could you try/has anyone tried the program? Any feedback is appreciated.

For me this occurs occasionally like when I close the lid & open it back later and when it does occur ctrl alt del doesn't work.

When i try to do all this stuff nothing happens and when I do 3 time power off thing it says diagnosing pc then it goes back to back screen
