Have the same jump pack, absolutely the best 200 or so dollars I ever spent used that thing daily for over eight years now it doesn’t take a charge after letting it sit in my garage a couple years without use. Glad to see the video

You work at a Nissan dealership aye. Those are both the same jump box just the one has the sticker of that tool company so then can charge you more you know the deal with the tool trucks... Did the jump box do good I keep hearing its more then the battery that starts to go in them from the local Napa.

I have a 4424 pack myself and it's at least 6 years old and still works perfectly. I use a B and D conditioning charger to charge it through the cables and it works way better than the built-in charger. I can get it to read 95% without any issue. Have done only 1 conditioning charge, but even so, at 40%, it will jump my dead 7.3 diesel without any problems at all. Around 6 or 8 jumps on it last week and it's still at 75%. Have left untouched for over a year without any issue.

Love it. Always make me happy when can fix something and save some money, instead of just throwing it away and buying a new one.

Small suggestion, maybe spray the terminals with battery protectant.

Great job I really like these kind of video's. How much was the replacement battery? It's always nice when you can take a little bit of your time to repair a piece of equipment that's pricey to replace.

I have one of those. I'm on the third battery. It's emitting a high pitched tone these days. The help line says it's the motherboard and it can't be replaced (it's so old). I cleaned up the motherboard with 70% alcohol and an Que tip. Still whines intermittently. Any ideas?

Now I need to check to see if we threw the old one out at the shop yet. If not then I'll take it apart and have them order a new battery. Wouldn't charge any more so they just ordered a new jump pack. Great tip. Do you have a part number on that battery? We also deal with Interstate.

What's the difference in the 2 chargers besides the matco sticker on the one. ??? Besides the prices. If there is any ??. Great video keep them coming.

my matco one has some issues with the switch it won’t actually turn the jump box off anymore. you think i could just replace the switch?

Did you happen to check the voltage that is being sent to the battery via the charging unit? Mine doesn't seem to take a charge at all (it beeps every 10 minutes or so when I try to charge it - display toggles between 0 and 10% charged). Only putting out about 9.5 V to the battery. I've kept mine in the box in my vehicle for 7 years, charging when needed. The thing looks pristine inside. Be a shame if I had to toss it.
