I should have waited another week to get the optics as fast as possible. Optics: 1x = same as video 2x = same as video 3x = Low 3.4 4x = High 3.4, low 3.5 was bad in assist but good with no assist. 6x = Same as video 8x = Middle 3.6, low 3.6 was too slow to react to moving targets 10x = Middle 3.6 This setting is all aim assist. Use 45 ADS, I used 46 to weaken the assist because the 2nd block isn't more than the 1st. Making the assist weaker doesn't help you cut through it. Reducing the Curve helps cut through the assist. The Optics seem to be transferrable to other Curves, I only needed to reduce my Yaw&Pitch to increase the aim assist near the targets. I can't reduce my Curve because of my controller's drift, and I don't like my deadzone being high. I've been using these settings for around a month and I'm bored because I don't feel like I'm shooting people, the aim assist is. If the 2nd block had moved I would have more agency when aiming at people; but the only way to make that happen is to add acceleration to parts of the slope that would disrupt the hipfire & aim assist. This is the best setting for my controller, due to drift, and it bores/annoys me. If I reduce the Curve I'll have more agency but I can't do that without increasing my Deadzone; I hate how any deadzone above 2.2 feels on the DS4 so that isn't an option. I'm not buying a new controller because I'll get one with the PS5 Sony will eventually sell me. Whenever that happens I'll just reduce the Curve + reduce the Yaw & Pitch. This is the best 8, I'm just bored with how 8 interacts with the aim assist.

It's like they don't want people to interact with the screen so they made it as annoying as possible. It's easy to display information and they basically chose to make their settings screen a mystery. No one should need to look at every outer threshold pattern just to know what deadzone or response curve value they're choosing.

It might have a ladder cap since it can't cut through the assist without adding extra. It started to feel slow in Gold, where everyone was once Diamond, when trying to chase or catch good movement. There are people who want to feel like they have aim assist. These are better than default settings and are easy to control.
