The process of adjustments is a little different at 8 curve. The 2 aspects of aim assist are more apparent. Per optics affect the "approaching aim assist" while ADS affects the "near target aim assist". Trying to recoil control the Flatline without aim assist (shooting moving squares) made finding "the speed" and what ADS was "too abrupt" more obvious. "The speed" ÷ ADS number = ~PerOptic position. i.e. 154 ÷ 44 = 3.50 ... 154 ÷ 43 = 3.58 ADS numbers that might feel good on 1x could be too slow on 4x, finding the minimum ADS to use a 3030 with 4x will be your minimum ADS. Controlling the Flatline without assist will help you find your maximum ADS. When you try to control the recoil you're going to jump a bit, the ADS is dictating how much your adjustments move.

The ADS is the on target aim assist and the per optics are the approaching aim assist. I've been making adjustments at 8 curve and my optics have stayed basically the same at different ADS & Outer patterns. I play on pc assist and it felt like default assist.

Did you find anything that fit 0 curve? The optics I found comfortable at 8 seem to work at any curve. As I lowered my curve I only reduced the Yaw & Pitch. I recently played at 0-7 curve to recheck my opinion on high deadzones.

If you want to try the setting to understand how the different combinations feel. The setting in this video is. :: Deadzone = 2 that turns into a 4; at default 9 Curve the Outer Threshold pattern starts with 8+ everything behind it moving, then everything except 8 moves. :: Set Curve to default 10 then click in the orange bar to make it 9 Curve and check the Outer Threshold pattern; you're looking for 6, 8, 10, 12 to move then 2+ everything behind it moves. 281 is preferred hipfire because it's the last spot where aim assist prevents me from overswinging opponents in melee range hipfire combat. Above 287 there's basically no assist.
