I feel like doing these kinds of videos and mixing FPV with other things is vital to our hobby. We need a good reminder that there are other ways for us to enjoy our hobby that can include retreats like this. FPV can be stressful and our mental health is important.
I am new to FPV, so I found your channel because of that. But I prefer the mixed content. Hobbies are the spice of life for me and it's cool to see them mix together. So post more fixed gear stuff or whatever you get excited about. As long as you're excited about it, so will be everyone else.
When visiting friends or traveling for work I love discovering the best local bowls to skate and the local bandos to fpv. It became a theme "bowls&bandos" . Was thinking about doing videos next time.
Nah, as long as you throw in a few tiny whoop rips...your adventures will always be entertaining. Watching someone achieve their goals is always a great watch! I would, however, have loooooved to see the mission to get back, too ;)
You always have to try new stuff. If not you’ll end up like Riot channel nobody cares about 😜 Love the adventure videos and I can tell you like making them 👍🏻
im into it. you're the only FPV youtuber i can turn on non-pilots to. when i offer them a sticker they're like "oh shit!" - they get so excited. keep doing what you do. you have a way of bringing EVERYONE in and it's fun. Botgrinder out here bringing the "yes, you can sit here" to FPV.
Fit Botgrinder! Nice one Bot, always enjoy your videos a lot, whatever your getting up to. I got a fixed wheel a few years back and it's in the loft doing nothing! I'm impressed. 👍🙂
Seriously you make the absolute best FPV videos out there. Your editing and personality are second to none. I don't care that this only had like 2 minutes of FPV, still an awesome vid and I'm here for it. I'm a Philly local(burbs), hopefully I can fly with you one day.
Here's a couple camping tips for ya brother. 1. Try not to pour boiling water into your bagged foods (if u care) just cuz of the reaction of chemicals in plastics due to heat. And 2. U could always use the filtered water just for the water you're boiling if you're not comfortable drinking it that way your cleaner bottled water is saved for your drinking water. Hooe that this is helpful. If not no biggie bro! Hope you had a blast man!
Oh boiii i loooove this style of video from you, i could easily whatch an hour of this! keep up the awesome work man, youre such an inspiration! All love, yours Kater
Love the new videos like this Bot! Think about boiling water in the future too!! Use the filter you have and then boil the water for 15 minutes, you will be 100 good to go! Thanks for the video dawg!! ❤
Awesome trip! Best way to use that swayer is use a old camel back/water bladder to scoop the river water then connect the sawyer to the tube and it will gravity filter itself
Awesome job Botgrinder refreshing to watch can't believe you road a bike that far I liked the new content. Last time I saw you was at the FAA PROTEST IN DC.
great wee adventure, thats a lotta miles, lotta insane fixed wheel miles. personally i woulda needed a rest day for that kinda thing, actually a rest day to explore the place is the best way to do these things, and you gotta eat right, the sleeping thing, you kinda looked refreshed af, waking up a lot is maybe just cause its strange and gives you strange dreams. only tip i have for the sleeping pads is dont over inflate it, when you sit on it, it should squash right down to the ground, oh and i backflush my sawyer with filtered and purified (little tablet things) water, even when i''m not using it, do you still have the big syringe? another top tip is to buy a few small packs of potato chips, open them about 1cm squeeze all the air out and crush the chips down to nothing, the fold and roll up the bag and put an elastic band around them, they take up no space and are a great boost when youre exerting yourself. finally, it might be a good idea to make two videos of these things, one with just the flying and the other the full vlog.
I like the adventures. production value is pretty good too! rode 60 miles and also did all the go pro setups and camera angles. that takes time people don't think about! Need bigger water bottles that can fit on the bike!
Bot you are a maniac! I'm too paranoid to leave my shit outside while I sleep, or to bike 3 miles and leave anything behind. What an excellent adventure bro!
Sick video dude, just found the channel and might try this in the spring. Those hills in East Falls and beyond are no joke on a fixed gear, so props. I got a similar ratio and end up walking a bunch of them jawns too lmao.
@Bot great adventure content - maybe next time we could solve a mystery along the way? Bot's Mystery Gang?? ... find a missing puppy.. use the drones for exploration looking for the lost "whatever" ....
The most I've biked in a day was 14 miles so I had 28 clocked as the max that's possible, and that's with 21 gears. You're one resilient dude Bot, definitely keep up the non-flying content and narratives as they make the FPV content special. I can't wait to see what happens next and with the development of the FPV park!
hey, i can add a nice front wheel electric kit to your bike for around 400, so you don't have to walk it up hill. weight will add 20lbs and up to 15 miles of no peddling,or assisted for 30+. it would take about 3hrs to set up and i can bring/do it at camp.
(I thoroughly enjoy your Adventure Drone Missions!) but Wow, man, I've been living out in the Boonies in IL, and it's 5 miles to the nearest Gas Station and 8 miles to the nearest Vape shop, my car was in the shop and I found my old shitty bike and put it back together (I ran out of Nicotine Vape so I had to go to store). But when I made it back from that little adventure I thought I was putting in a work out but damn Dude, you got you some miles! Sweet Vid my boy
If you’re having trouble climbing hills with the extra weight, you should try changing over to a ration like 46:16. This is the ratio I’ve been riding brakeless Fixies for 7 years now, and I haven’t encountered a single hill I can’t climb, and I live in an area surrounded by 20 to 30 degree grade hills, especially with my YNOT straps; even if I stop mid climb and do a track stand, I can still gain momentum to climb easily with 46:16. I would also put a half link chain in, spank tweet tweet or a warlock half link work great. I also suggest strong pedals if you like to bank turns and come close to slapping pedal to pavement like myself. I went through a dozen pairs of pedals in my first 2 years riding fixie, then bought a $200 custom set of pedals that can take any hit.
@@BOTGRINDER indeed you did, I’m always baked, lots goes over my head 😂 Well, my best suggestion (if you haven’t already) is a set of YNOT straps, being able to lift up while pedalling gives you a much higher NM (torque) output. I’d also throw away those brakes and learn to use retention and lock up slides, but that’s just a personal preference. Happy riding 👍
