I’m so glad I decided to spend the extra money and buy hdzero when I started off in this hobby. Hopefully hdzero starts producing different products and steals the market share from dji. They definitely deserve it.
Or if you're flying dji 03 air unit, connect your phone or tablet via usb-c to your goggles 2, open the DJI fly app, and you have a monitor, better yet if your phone can screen record then you have a DVR too! $0 spent
Wow. Just what I was looking for and the price is actually fine. I am all analog and have been reluctant to go to any HD digital mostly because of the price of the googles. $175 is just fine. Maybe more folks out there like me than we realize. Plus, I like the analog de-interlacer. Now, I can get a little better image from my analog gear and have the option to put digital gear on a quad. Wow. I actually like that it is a monitor rather than goggles as I am moving away from goggles anyway for many reasons. Plus, I think that this is the same size and might fit my Viper goggles headset as the monitor just clips out. Hmm. I am going to get one and can use it immediately. Wow.
The van is slick! The kerclunk when you put it in gear is usually u-joints. They are not a big deal. It’s something that I would spend $40-$60 and replace in my driveway myself. But they can cause serious problems if left unchecked. Talk to a friend that is knowledgeable about vehicles and at least have them check it. I’ve seen a $20 u-joint fail and break a transmission in half.
considering that it would probably cost almost twice that to hobble your own solution together with what is available on the market, the price isn't terrible. I use a 10 inch hawkeye monitor that has HDMI in, with the original shark byte module for bench work. it's a tangled mess and a bit of a Pita to work with seeing as the monitor and the VRX require their own power source. I'll probably throw some dollars at this in the near future .
I drive a dodge caravan. Yes it's atypical for a guy to drive but it does it all. I can sleep in it, load up fpv gear, pull a trailer, and nice and comfy to drive on roadtrips. I'll never drive anything else
WHOOO HOOOOOO!!!! Congrats bruh!!! U not gonna mod the insides of the van?? Like a rack or foldable table?? Ive been watching this dude called PrizzaMike and he goes to the wreck yard to hunt for parts.
175 is way too steep for me personally. I already have the goggle analog module so that includes wifi streaming to my phone, does the same thing. It's noticeably laggy and does disconnect randomly sometimes but for the handful of times someone is there and wants to watch it works just fine.
I lug 10 quads strapped to my bicycle , often to buggrd to rip when I get there. All that gear I only take what's vital. My fans call me grandad. Van jealousy.
it's a shame they couldn't also have included an HDMI in. that way you could use it with a RaspberryPi or some other box to spectate the other digital systems, and you'd have HDZ, analog, and the others all on one screen. if it had that, despite not currently having any HDZ stuff I'd buy the hell out of it... might have been a good way to get more pilots into their ecosystem.
