Few days ago, one of my viewers asked me about his problem. His problem is, all of my desktop shortcuts are showing black boxes in the bottom left corners.

There is typo in description ''sfc /sacnnow'' even though it should be ''sfc /scannow''.

The black boxes returned the day after I did the command. Is the command supposed to affect this problem permanently? It seems a little annoying to have to do this every single day.

When i deleted icon cache and restart the file explorer from task manager it fixes but when i turn on my computer next time the black icons appears again

With the latest update to Windows 11, I had to change the registry entry to be %windir%\System32\shell32.dll,-51 instead of %windir%\System32\shell32.dll,-50

Just now tried this, and the second half worked. However there is a typo in your commands to copy paste to command prompt, you have sfc /sacnnow and it should be sfc /scannow

when i removed my onedrive with a debloater the black boxes appeared for me so i think it has to do with onedrive lol

After updating to Windows 11 Pro version 22H2 OS build 22621.608, I can't get rid of the black boxes on my desktop icons using this method anymore. They disappear initially, then reappear after reboot. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

@@TechReviewbangla bro you can use whichever you want but your pronunciation isn't half bad, everything is understandable. Also, my fix for the black box was to delete the '29' value in the registry control under Shell Icons. Check it out maybe you can make a new video to help people out. I will provide a more detailed comment on here later when I get a few minutes.
