I run the 345 cc merlins on my 540 cuz of methanol.likes the way they retain heat over alluminum .your car looks good you done well young man.try the stiff sidewall m\ t for a car as heavy as yours they will work well
Interesting to hear about how you like the cast iron heads. I would say this car likes them too but nitrous is different. I appreciate it about the car man! Also go check my newest videos, the m/t stiff sidewalls are killer!
@@Hobbular with alky in bracket racing keeping the water temp up costs $. Even with the lean out valve you got to start it in the staging lanes to be sure your water temp is about 160 when you pull into the burn out box i shoot for staging at 175 or 180.by the time im back to the trailer im at 160 again.i like your car and hope you keep turnin on the win light .no better feeling than that !
The reason it failed adjustable pushrod location is off it will keep doing the same thing till they are adjusted right had the same thing happen to me if you can spin the lock on the rockers after start up it's set correctly if not you will have the same issue every 10 passes it will put a side load on it and push the needles back out been there done that before 2 years ago.
I had three brand new gold comp cam rockers loose their bearings. Also I sent pictures to comp cam and they sent me new black magnum rockers. Never had an issue again.

@@Hobbular I hope so. It's a rough stripped out car but a good platform for a builder. I ran a stock car down the strip at Sikeston MO At the #nonamenationals and had a blast but looking to build a little bit faster hotrod. I'll be watching your channel for helpful hints.

I like to knowhow fast the cars go with out clocks it gets boring just my old man opinion.i get the whole grudge thing but i dont care my camaro ru.s 5.60 put a dial in on it and handicap the start.that is where the skill comes in .
