Your Red Storm Rising videos are some of the coolest things I've ever seen on RU-vid. There are some good aerial combat scenes in TC's book, Debt of Honor, probably my favorite of the Jack Ryan series.
Loved Red Storm Rising. Have liked Tom Clancy and Larry Bond from the beginning. Bought Hunt for Red October when it first came out and purchased Larry Bonds pen and paper game Harpoon in the early 80's. Late 70's, I served on a SSN patrolling the western pacific. Love the content you have put out so far and hope to see more. Take care.
Your content has been phenomenal so far, even if you move away from red storm rising I look forward to seeing the content you make going forward, you are talented and seeing the potential is exciting!
I wouldn't call Its the end if your in reference to the RSR stuff I just would like a couple things to evolve in the sim before I try and kick some of the other chapters out.
I know DCS is your thing but seeing some of the Red Storm Rising land battles simulated in Wargame:Red Dragon would be amazing and complement the awesome narrated air operations videos you do; collab maybe with someone who does Wargame content (Stealth17 Gaming for example)?
Wargame red dragons and there newest one is a fun game but to get the right camera work done it wouldn’t look too ascetically pleasing. Those games are a blast though.
Oh it absolutely would be. I feel like Amazon has the rights to the franchise right now but with how they handled “without remorse” not sure how I would feel about them putting a modern spin on red storm… has potential but I feel like it would lose a little of that Cold War feel. Needs to be more NATO-wave not ladygaga if ya catch my drift.
Have you considered doing something similar to RSR but with Larry Bond's Red Phoenix? There should be some parts of chapters that would translate well to DCS World footage. Another book from the same time period with another large-scale war simulation theme.
Well as long as this one is concerned, you have figured how to tell stories with these things, so this or that book, this or that sim, it hooks me in and I keep watching until it's over, we are pirates mate, we take what we can and leave nothing behind, good quality stuff don't show up often and here is source to one plentiful stash of it....
You REALIZE now you have 18 THOUSAND people out there jonesing for Tom Clancey..........and we're all going through withdrawals here, right? ;D But seriously, love your videos and I wish I knew enough about DCS to do my own. If I were you, I'd wait for the Strike Eagle to come out, then take a look at the novellete in the back of the Tom Clancy book "Every Man A Tiger". Semi modern day Vietnam/US scenairio Now, if you need somebody to fly with for your vids, I'd be more than happy to put my ten magic thumbs on joystick and throttle to help you out. Could probably draft a few other guys as well. Feel free to hit me up
Appreciate the ARMA frustration. Happy to work with you to create the ground component via Steel Beasts Pro PE. This is not ideal for the single individuals walking across Iceland but is designed for the sort of combat in Germany. Unsure if I could capture the video for you but happy to create the scenarios and then lend you a license so you could run them yourself. Not trying to pressure you, just trying to help get the RSR ground elements across the line.
iF you ENJOY creating these excellent videos, let US watch them- outakes can be just as entertaining. Once dreamed of playing a flight sim, had LOADS of plane add-on but NO Microsoft Flight - found 2nd hand in a charity shop along with a Sub sim - loaded both, never flown Achtung Aircraft - Crash Dive!!!! MORE RSR required, glitches an` all!
Why not monetize your videos? All the work you put into making them, there’s nothing wrong with enjoying the spoils at all. You deserve it… they’ve all been incredible!
