Can tell you take pride in a job well done Chris. Everything always looks so nice and tidy when you're done. It's a real pleasure to watch. Thanks for taking the time out of your busy days and sharing the videos with us.
Dustin Finley, thanks! I'm currently running about a week to 10 days behind on editing. I'm also doing a livestream on Sunday, June 10th, from 6-8pm central. I may run a little past 8. Who knows. Lol
It almost looked like you needed a 5 point harness and bucket seat for that job, you were fairly close to getting a face full of dirt if anything went wrong on that bank !. That was cool of top crane to send you those mounts, He's actually an "anti gravity engineer". One of my friends that sadly died used to say that was his job. He lived in a real expensive apartment block in England, and used to work for a company that liked the drivers to wear a smart shirt, pants and tie. All the guys that lived there and worked in offices with computers always thought he worked in a fancy research lab, they never clued in he worked in a crane cab operating it, now they are the smart people for ya L.O.L. Thanks for sharing, Take care
Chis I watch every one of your videos. could you please show more of your operator on the small track machine doing his thing. I think this operator is just great. He is just fantastic how he operates it. Thanks.
That old pipe for overflow looked very small. I set up just the same for Go pro and Dumpy reciever to attach to machines, the easiest and best way i think.
I was thinking about one of those articulated buckets I've seen on a lot of European and Scandinavian smaller excavators especially. Chris would be able to make his Yanmar that much more 'flexible' with one of those buckets, especially too, on this job.
How much dirt did you need to fix the back side of the pond? Did you have enough dirt on the property or did you have to get dirt brought in? If so how many yards was needed. Sorry for all the questions but I'm born and raised in Las Vegas and closest thing to a pond out here is the swimming pools. I love to learn as much is possible so I have new tools in my tool box.
John Smith, sd cards aren't affected by magnets. Standard HDD drives are. But, solid state drives are not. I use those same mounts on my GoPros with 128 micro sd cards in them, no issues.
I accidentally put my phone on some welding magnets (there was a rag over top of them so I didn't see) turned my phone into a paper weight.... be careful
Have a breached dam on a cow pond that came with house purchase. Water level getting low as it continues carving out a deeper path. Scared to find out what this project will cost. Looks very similar to this repair. What kind of a ballpark cost did this project run?
Great job as always Chris! To The Top Crane sent me one of those mounts as well, and it’s awesome! He is actually about 3 hours north me. No more changing mounts throughout the day. I’ve made a few videos with different camera angles on my 250 and dump truck. If you take the silicone off the back of the mount you almost can’t take it off what you put it on! My channel is just Elite Earthworks LLC if you feel like checking it out, still very new to this whole RU-vid thing! Thanks for sharing!
Elite Earthworks LLC, try throwing a paper towel between the mount and whatever you are sticking it to. I have not tried it. So, I have no idea how it will work out. So, make sure it is in a situation were you aren't going to lose your camera or damage it if if falls off.
Hey Chris, my Pond was finished last week. Found a spring in the bottom of it upon completion. Has already put couple feet of water in it. Is this good or bad? Will the water reverse flow and drain the Pond once full?
a different kind of versatile. so many things you can do with it when grading a road. so many controls for so many different things. should have said that before. A backhoe would be almost as versatile as a Excavator/Trackhoe but lacks that maneuverability of one. A skid loader is versatile in that it is a compact machine and can get into places a Loader can't.
