This could've caused a crash, and that's not an exaggeration. Tires as old as this can blow at any time, so before I even drove my new Mustang, I had to put on new tires. The BFG tires that were mounted on the 1998 Cobra wheels were made in 2007, which means they were 15 years old, they were dry-rotted, and they went flat on my several times. If I had driven them at highway speed, there's a very good chance they would've blown out or had the tread separate, which could certainly cause a crash or injury to myself or others.
