I wanted to relay an experience I had with the fixture I have. I had been using it, and one day the bulb burned out. OK, no problem. I went to Home Depot and bought a 2-pack of Philips bulbs for about $9. I replaced the bulb, and of course followed all of the proper steps such as not touching the bulb with bare hands. The first bulb lasted 30 seconds and burned out. The second lasted 5 minutes and burned out. I went to Harbor Freight and bought their el-cheapo bulbs, it's been 4 or 5 years now, still working fine. I bought a bunch more which I have as replacements in case. Another thing I found is the contacts at each end can become carboned up. Cleaning the contacts if you have issues with connectivity as shown in this video, can go a very long way.
Did you bring those bulbs back to The Home Depot? I've found they're very good about taking back and replacing defective items. They looked relatively clean to me, perhaps the removal and replacement of the bulb dislodged any carbon that was present. If it quits again, it will have to be cleaned.
@@JordanU Foolishly, no. I did buy the package 2 years prior, I remember, just to have the bulbs on hand, but light bulbs don't have a shelf life where they go bad sitting there.
