I heard activision wanted to market to young girls along side the obvious young boy demographic. Hence almost every starter pack having a female. With that restriction I think they did a pretty good job.
With this in mind, giants could of potentially had flash fire instead to still avoid just using a repose. Not sure about swap force tho as the new female skylanders kind of suck tbh, but maybe they could of gone with sprocket, it would still be a returning core and a lot of people don’t like her but her new version is actually cool and different, much like pop fizz and trigger happy, whilst ninja stealth elf is barely noticeable
@@Luna19912 actually yeah roller brawl would be a good fit, I personally don’t like her first design which is why it didn’t cross my mind but I know she’s popular and much better move wise than sprocket
I also prefer close range characters but Snap Shot is the leader of the trap team (even tho that is never suggested in the cutscenes) so it takes sense to keep him in, I'd just change the core to like Fist Bump like you said since he's more of a close range character. Also not you just casually putting 2 of the big 3 in the starter pack 💀
@@ProjetoXHunter the most expensive Skylanders like ever cuz they were the last released (Green Chompy Mage (was only found in a Amazon deal with 5 other villains), Wild Storm & Ro-Bow (both were the last Skylanders released so no one bothered to buy them))
The point of the starter pack is to give good balanced Skylanders, but also leave enough desire for more Skylanders. That’s why they always chose good well rounded Skylanders, but not the best.
I agree with somewhat with all of the else besides the imaginators. I agree with Chompy Mage he’s iconic. But Robow? I feel like you’re putting him there bc he’s rare now. I feel like Kingpin has a basic but powerful moveset perfect for a starter pack
Ro-bow wouldn’t exactly make the most sense as he was the last skylander released. I’d personally go for 2 creation crystals, one of chompy mage, Wolfgang (because Wolfgang is awesome) or grave clobber and either buckshot or king pen.
I thought it was to coincide with the first level's Elemental Realms. Like for example, in Giant, the Life, Undead and Air Realms were present in the first chapter so they give you three Skylanders of each. In Swap Force, you receive Stealth Elf series 3, Blast Zone and Wash Buckler. There's an elemental realm for Water, Fire and Life, alongside a Climb and Rocket challenges, which are totally doable since you got everything you need for this level in the starter pack. In Imaginators, the first Sensei Shrine is a Brawler one, and you receive King Pen. For SSA, STT and Superchargers, I still don't know since I only bought the box without the starter pack.
The Trap team starter pack was the best you cant change it. The life and water trap were so iconic and will always have a place in me. "foooooood fight"
I disagree with Giants suggestions. It mainly to show off the new wow pows that the series 2 have, with swap force I agree a new core should have been chosen.
I agree with your Giants take, but for your Swap-Force saying, Ninja Stealth Elf shows off how old Skylanders can be changed, and is also a Female to bring in Young Girls.
TBH. I dont think they can ever remake how perfect spyros adventure is. The first time opening it was just perfect and very unique and very fun, regardless when it was just those 3.
The point of spitfire inside the starter pack is so that they showcase supercharger combos, with thrillapede replacing spitfire, that effect is removed. Though if I was given the option to redo the superchargers Starter pack, I would replace super shot stealth elf (SSSE for short) with like how you said, deep dive till grunt
I feel like this whole list is basically the first half, “meh, not too much change.” And the second half is just trying to be different, that’s just me. I do respect your opinion
Personally I would've chosen SSA: Spyro, Gill Grunt, Stealth Elf - As much as Trigger Happy is great, its good to have a melee skylander in the mix. Stealth Elf and Gill Grunt also have eternal sources in the first half of the game Giants: Tree Rex, Jet-Vac, Hot Dog - Varied playstyles, elements, body shapes and colours, making the characters look more interesting SF: Wash Buckler, Blast Zone, Scratch - Perfect two choices for swappers, if scratch wasn't the rare wave 4 skylander she is now, I think she'd work well. She has fairly wide appeal as well as unique body type, unique colours and air is used fairly frequently in the first half of the game. I think Scorp is also a decent option TT: Snap Shot, Torch (Life Trap, Water Trap) - Torch works well for melee variety, plus she has a design that feels distinct from Snap Shot's. Chef Pepper Jack is also quite early in the game. SC: Spitfire, Big Bubble Pop Fizz, Hot Streak - Mix of melee and ranged, fast and slower. I would've picked Stormblade and Lava Lance Eruptor but I think the Hot Streak is the perfect vehicle for the starter pack Imaginators: Ember, Chompy Mage, Water Crystal - They both have range variety, Chompy Mage feels like a more iconic villain than Golden Queen to me. Only issue in my opinion is that they would have to move around the placements of the sensei shrines. I changed the imaginite crystal so that its not the same as one of the other elements but I can imagine Air, Magic, or Earth also working
With Superchargers, I would probably keep Spitfire but replace Stealth Elf with Stormblade as she was the face of the flying vehicle characters whose vehicle was used to show off flying segments.
For the Wii U Dark Edition of Skylanders Superchargers, Dark Hot Streak and Spitfire should be replaced with Supershot Stealth Elf and Sea Shadow, as the Wii U version already has Donkey Kong and the Barrel Blaster, and I see 2 land vehicles in 1 starter pack as redundant. It’s okay for the Wii Starter pack, as Bowser and the Clown Cruiser were the combo, and having Hot Streak and Spitfire as a land combo makes sense, as there is a lack of redundancy.
For Superchargers though you kind of have to choose a paired vehicle with one of the two and neither of their vehicles are land which is the only required type to beat the game
I feel like the superchargers starter pack should have whichever character supercharges the vehicle in the starter pack like it does with spitfire in the starter pack, so maybe high volt and the shield striker would be better than thrillipede. Otherwise I completely agree, thrillipede and gill grunt would’ve been amazing as starters
Speaking of Starter Pack, I need to think of one for my Skylanders Eclipse game! I mean, each starter pack gives us one core skylander and a gimmick one each (excluding Spyro's Adventure) and well, my dark and light roster is 32 (16 each) and I really need to think on who should be a perfect fit! On the other hand, I kinda don't want to make a starter pack and instead have the game and figurines sold separately. Which, does mean I'll need to decide on who should be instant buys, since I'm sure the six Skylanders installments did like waves of each Skylanders toys.
I remember u from an other comment, u are the one with the skylanders eclipse idea, its a very great idea, imma subscribe to u, if u ever happen to create that game, please make a vid about it
One major fix for Spyro’s Adventure is to actually make it feel like it is Spyro going on an adventure by having him and Cynder interact in the cutscenes with Cali, Flynn, and Hugo. Another fix would be giving his moveset more prudence to him being a master of the elements, but preferring fire by using the d-pad to toggle which breath he uses. You forgot to mention the Wii U starter pack for Superchargers with Donkey Kong and the Superchargers Racing starter packs with Bowser.
Fun fact the superchargers pack is now slightly ruined. The pack had a vehicle, and this vehicle was meant to synergize with spitfire. Due to the fact that there is a boosted vehicle system in the game. If both replacement skylanders don't have a land vehicle than one of them needs to be replaced as land vehicles is required to beat the game. Even if the boosted system isn't That is why spitfire and his iconic vehicle was chosen. Because there is no good skylanders with a land vehicle.
Removing Spitfire but not Hot Streak means you can’t use the Supercharched gimmick out of the box, that’s like replacing Blast Zone with Fryno or Tree Rex with Shroom Boom.
So you just change trap team starter pack from two ranged characters to two melee characters. Not really a problem but why bring up that snap shot is a ranged character
I am kinda annoyed about your picks in imaginations because earlier with the trap team one you said you didn’t like 2 range skylanders in the starter pack but choppy mage and ro bow are both range attackers so your basically contradicting yourself
I think a cool concept would be releasing different starter packs per game but not habing those characters be exclusive, like swap force could've been started with the same on like wii and wii u and then on like xbox we got stink bomb, night shift, and s3 eruptor, i think it'd have been cool and given more variety to how different people played with what they had and spoke about it with their friends so their friends would be convinced to get the characters.
I think the 3 cores in SSA would probably replace the three cores from giants and swap force as to save space in the box and to save money for the company.
as a trap team enjoyer i disagree with replacing snap shot as he is the trap master most people think of when you mention the game also by replacing food fight as well for fist bump you remove almost all range capabilities so i would keep snap shot but replace food fight
I honestly would have swapped spitfire and the hot streak out for another road vehicle skylander because you need a road vehicle to actually beat superchargers and a road character to match and show of supercharging
I don't agree with most of these, the first 3 are valid, but I don't think your Trap Team, Superchargers and Imaginators characters could work. The starter pack Skylanders are supposed to be the most marketable characters in the roaster,so putting a Skylanders that doesn't even have a face (Kript King and Ro-Bow), or a character that could never be appealing to a child (Thripillede and Chompy Mage) wouldn't work as well as someone like Snap Shot. But still some of those make a lot of sense, like Deep Dive Gill Grunt istead of Super Shot Stealth Elf
Me personally I'd keep SSA the same. And Giants, I'd keep Tree Rex, and Jet Vac, but personally, I'd put in someone like Flashwing instead. Swap Force, I'd keep the same, seeing as with Swap Force it was my first introduction to the world of Skylanders, and I wouldn't change a think.. As for Trap Team, I'd replace Food Fight with someone like Blades. Superchargers I'd keep the same. Imaginators, I'd replace Golden Queen with someone like Wolfgang or Tae Kwon Crow seeing as we already HAVE a close range option.. And maybe replace the crystal with a life, or magic crystal.
I think you should go with a starterpack Skylander from Superchargers that has a car, or a ground vehicle, hence the car parts are the main focus and necessary to have if you want to beat the game. So instead of Thrillipede I think you could go for either Smash Hit or High Volt, but Spitfire works well.
I think maybe replace Gill Grunt or Trigger Happy for Stealth Elf cause come on, it's Stealth Elf, the #1 most popular female Skylander + it puts a melee Skylander in the starter pack
ok but once you are in the empire business you'd understand starter packs with shitty skylanders will get you more money as kids buy more and more and more
SSA: wham shell spyro trigger happy SG: swarm shroom boom pop fizz SSF: night shift free ranger count down STT: water trap food fight life trap night light rest are same as him
I love robow but not going to agree with that, because of how good he is he should never be in a starter pack, but kingpin is perfect, not to strong but not weak either, perfect for a starter pack
yes i know im late but i personally this ambush and dr. krankcase with an undead creation crystal would be perfect for the imaginators starter pack. it gives you a decent variety of playstyles, ambush for close range and mobility while dr. krankcase has good range and has some amazing upgrades. (and to add on to dr. krankcase he's my favorite doomraider, he's very slept on, and he was supposed to be in season 2 of skylanders academy but was cut) the undead creation crystal would be nice since there really aren't a lot of undead skylanders and the undead element is really cool to be honest. (all instead of the 2 most expensive skylanders)
cynder is the one who hurts me but i undestand, after all she mean a lot to me for the memories and when i get my started pack from the 3ds i was so happy to have her, and for me make sens, in the firts game you have spyro and the second you have cynder, is the way i see but i understand she can be change for someone else with stealth elf, i undestand that one more, mostly the super charger one, alredy she show in swap force, why she again in a started pack? is the one i agreed the most
I feel like crypt king dosent really fit the vibe used for starter packs, also if you replaced foodfight with fistbump then there would be no ranged option In the starter pack and I feel like 1 range 1 Melle is the best option, also you did my boy food fight dirty
Ok imma be real some of these are good, but imo id swap out the trap team and superchargers ones Trap team honestly wallop would’ve been perfect, he was clearly meant to be the leader originally, and for the core I think my option would be High five, he adds that sorta ranged character to compliment wallop Superchargers definitely needed a supercharged combo in it, I think it would’ve been better to have lava Lance eruptor, with his vehicle, accompanied by either diveclops or stormblade And finally imaginators, I do agree on chompy mage, but, I think the other sensei should’ve been tri-tip or barbella, and with the crystals, I tvink having a second one would’ve been good, less sibling fights like that
this may sound bad but just dont change most of the starter packs with these options because alot of these skylanders are expensive to get these days so putting them in a starter pack would make that expensive or the skylander cheap and it would just give you too op skylanders for a starter pack instead it should be basic and simple but not too basic and not too hard and not too simple but not stuff what are too op
Tbh this is what i would change. Ssa: honestly im only keeping spyro as ngl feel like the 1st 3 should be dragons so im bringing zap and drobot in. Sg: ok tree rex is easily staying. Im also keeping cynder in as she is a good introduction to wow pows. Jet pac though l... nah hes bad. So im bringing in the other giants most iconic core pop fizz in. Swf: ok im not changing the swapers but i am changing the core. And since she is in a story scroll and the fact their is a air gate in the 1st level im adding horn blast whirlwind. Stt: would've kept them both but for me getting both of the starter soul gems in the 1st 4 levels. Thats a no from me. That is why im adding both gearshift and deja vu but im leaving the traps the same. Ssc: an op and a bad one. Ok im putting lava lance and and dive clops in. Si: im saying keep both senseis but replace the fire creation crystal with an air one as 2/3 senseis are in adventure packs making it hard to find one
If i would have changed the skylanders. Starter pack 1 best choice Starter pack 2 adding 3 of the giants eye brawl and swarm alongside tree rex. Swap force Remove the repose add 2 swappers grilla drilla and free ranger. With trap team i would have added No cores snap shot, jawbreaker, bushwack and knight light alongside with light, tech, water and life trap with the sunscraper. Superchargers is good Imaginators Add 3 imaginators a dark fire and magic chrystal and sensei starcast and blastertron
Cynder was in the giants starter pack so you could enter all the elementa gates in the first level Quick edit: I do agree tho that pop fizz would be a better pick
I kind of like the concept of starte packs consisting of at least one smylander dedicated to ranfe amd one close range it's why I'd say giants and swap force were pretty good...but ssa is the GOAT
I disagree but respect your opinion. I think in the first 3 games, all elements should be displayed in the starter packs skylanders. So i would keep the ssa starter pack as well as the giants one, i think cynder is a great way of introducing the reposes and wow pows mechanics. But in the third game, we would need an fire and earth skylanders to complete the elements. So i would change stealth elf for Scorp, as he is a awesome earth core. In trap team, i would change snap shot for gusto, cuz that would be the third water starter skylander and swap force just had one. In superchargers, i think we could change stealth elf for lava lance eruptor, since he's iconic but haven't appeared yet and change spitfire for splat, cuz we can't have 2 fire skylanders in the same pack we need more feminine ones. And in imaginators, i think we can keep it, king pen is a very solid skylander and golden queen is the leader of the doom raiders.
The best remake was imaginators and trap team, i cant stand having two long range in a starter pack and the imaginators one just wasnt that fun and exciting to me
All starter packs should just been tree rex. Core tree rex, giant tree rex, swap tree rex, trap master tree rex, supercharger tree rex, and sensei tree rex!
I disagree I feel trap team shouldve had 2 trap masters especially as they are the only one who can open gates and I'd keep snap shot as he's all over the marketing and for close range I'd rather have gear shift or wildfire
Krypt king wozld be a bad choise since in the first 4 chapters or so theres no portal, while in the firat level theres an water portal and its kinda part of the tutorial
Imaginators being the only starter pack to not include a life skylander… but i like how he included the 2 most expensive skylanders for the starter pack for Imaginators
Nice video disagreed with most of it just please remember this video is just entertainment I didn't take it too heart you're an awesome creator and this comment is just discussion Spyros adventure: Agreed Giants: jet vac needs to go I hate him, no real reason tbh Swap force: yeah stealth elf could've been a better pick but pick a swapper to really sell the whole gimmick because all you can make is wash zone and blast buckler Trap team: snap shot is not long range he's mid to close range and hes a better pick than kyrpt king because his move set is way more interesting Also Trap team: yes we need to replace food fight but with a trap master the cores in that game are just e-waste as they can't even open gates Superchargers: Spitfire is too good!? just because hes in the starter pack doesn't mean he has to be as useful as sprocket he can be OP because hes fun. also you only picked thrilapead because hes overpriced Rn Imaginators: chompy mage isn't even the right class hes supposed to be sorcerer. completely undid what you said with spitfire on robo
