"Fixing everything wrong with the PS4" *Replaces hard drive with a hard drive* *Also adds Nyko fan mod that doesn't help with airflow and can actually hurt the console* Seriously this ain't it.
If he wants better air flow he should just clean it regularly and make sure there's no dust... And if it's still running hot try replacing the thermal paste. I don't know what else to say he made that thing look horrendous
@@TheQwertyuiop6 they are supported they're just not optimized. A slow and fast SSD will both work the same so going cheap won't hurt. It'll be faster than HDD for sure at least.
@@prinz_rl It most certainly is lol. That fan is pushing air back into the console, make the console heat up faster let alone the vents to attract even more dust.
@@IomarTheWorst I am aware it is a collector's item. This is sony's way of artificially inflating the price of their products, by making it hard to find 🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂
@androtei3266 I'm not lying, I literally own both a PS4 pro and a PS4 (and a Nintendo switch Oled, Gaming laptop and PC) And by far the ps5 is more silent than my pc (keep in mind im using Corsair's and cooler master's fans with an AIO)
A tired old mechanical HDDis the #1 killer of that generation. Even with the PS4 only supporting SATA 2 it's still a MASSIVE upgrade to put a SSD in there...
Yeah I had to argue with somebody over that because they were saying the PS4 doesn't support an ssd and I said it supports a SATA I literally showed him and he was still arguing I said you just can't take when you're in the wrong.
i tried that my ex didnt like that i bought her a snickers to make her happy. whaty got her to break up with me was i got her a how to defend herseft kit. well i got tazed and told i was soft lol then she got beat by her new boyfriend and well i just lived my life
I fixed my ps4 slim with a 1tb Samsung 870 qvo ssd and the little feet. That back fan is more likely to hurt than help. Instead just keep your system clean and leave it where there’s open air so it gets optimal airflow.
The only thing that’d be better, is getting the 1tb SATA ssd, there are actually pretty impressive boot times for system and game when upgraded to the SATA ssd although a bit more expensive
@@datboi41505does* And it doesn't need to. Sata 2 which caps at 300mbps is literally double the speed of a top end harddrive. Ssds even the bottom end will do 250mbps easily, vs a top end hdd pushing 150mbps.
Of all your videos this one probably means the most. The og ps4 is showing its age and those tipes you showed are actually very useful. Tho I'd use an ssd these days
I just got mine late, like 3 years ago, new, with 1TB for the original price From GameStop too, was suprised when I didn't hear a worse price😂 Think it was their reputation drop
@@insertusername132look at the PS5 825GB VERSION ALREADY ALMOST 200 GB it's taken off that just because of the system operating system I think in today's standards I think every game system that comes out should have the 2TB SSD
@@KipplzThe OS doesn't just magically exist, it takes up a surprising amount of space. Ps5 has 850 gigs of storage, but only ~670 are actually usable. The system files eat up that much space.
You haven’t done anything to fix The PS4. Using those feet does literally nothing as the intake from the sides not underneath the PS4. The exhaust fans are literally useless and doesn’t help the PS4 fan at all. Upgrading the storage with 1TB isn’t an upgrade as I recall this model already comes with 1TB. Adding to that WD black isn’t a decent upgrade, should have went with a SSHD 2TB as an upgrade. Adding to that, should replace the fan to a newer model fans if it was an old one. Replace the thermal paste to a better one and if you want a better cooling cut the top shell above the fan to let the fan suck air better than the sides that’s what I have done to my PS4 Pro.
My PS4 isn't booting. Telling me to install version 10.01 do u know the cause n solution nd I'll appreciate any advice. Also does dust nd heat cause such problem? Thanks for ur reply
Ps4 pro came with 1t it is enough I have 47 games downloaded and most of them huge like gta5 almost every new call of duty apart from mw2 remastered warzone 2 warzone 1 plus alot of other games
The fan blows hot air back into the console Because the back is where it exhausts from Fans push air back towards the console Exhaust And The feet do nothing because they just rise the console off of the surface it's on and it doesn't have any fans or anything on the bottom The hard drive Would need to be compatible with the PS 4 which that specific one is FUN FACT the entire PS4 console uses only one fan for the entire thing that's why it runs hot
Why not use a SSD SATA 2.5 on the PS4 it supports it and it makes load times way better. Reliability goes up because there's no disk spinning, warzone with the HDD, there would be loading textures and my gun still is not loaded in while mid fight which got me killed a lot of times. With the SSD, game textures and guns are already loaded in, this works great for battlefield 4.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he fave his one and only son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Our lord and savior Jesus Christ loves all of us so much that he died a terrible death and then rose again so we could know him and live.
@@serene2620 I argue that SSD are more reliable, there's no spinning disk, if you drop it your screwed, a simple scratch is all it takes, and it heats way more. But the Samsung SSD's are the ones with more reliability issues than other SSD manufacturers. Edit: The AFR or average failure rate is lower on the SSD than the HDD.
@@niko2002 You can argue all you want but the numbers don't lie bro there's no difference. and you mean samsung... have you checked their just recent history of their drives dying due to bad firmware lmao
I’ll do you one better: Installed an ssd, repasted the ps4 with thermal grizzly, set it on its side and cleaned out the chassis. Thing runs full load absolutely silent.
Step 1: 1tb smart but harddrive? Do 1tb ssd.... Step 2: ok but the console doesn't have Airflow under the console. So will do basically nothing Step 3: actually kinda cool and might help tempo
Replacing the thermal paste helps too but I don’t touch my PlayStation 1 edition as I keep it pristine behind glass along with my other gaming rarities
