The thing that i like the most about the Tesla's interiors is the minimalism. I really love it. So i'm not a fan of aftermarket displays honestly. But that's just my personal opinion of course. Keep up with the good contents man, i hope i'll buy my M3H LR soon!
Is there a better way to hide the cable? I saw that in the old model 3 you could funnel it through the back, but I'm not sure if that works in the highland. Love how it works, especially the blind spot indicator, but the cable being visible bothers me
Are you going to keep that thing on permanently? I’m not a fan of adding visible aftermarket components like that but that’s just me. Looking forward to your 6 month review. Love your boyfriend lol
Haha I'm not sure - I've had it on for almost 2 weeks now - the finishing of the mount and magsafe connector looks very similar to the dash so it's not too bad, I guess. Thanks for all your support! Hah! It's "my boy Finlay" 🤣
Can you still take calls? Also all those features you would not use while driving as hard to scroll as you would have to place your hand through the steering wheel! I think the info is cool for speed maybe but I don’t have any issues with it but you can get most on the screen anyway.
Yes you can take calls - it’ll just override the app. Changing screens: you can use the right scroll wheel on the Tesla steering to “swipe” left and right on the Teslogic so no need to touch your phone when it’s on 🙏
Purely as a display of what the screen tells you is more or less useless I'd agree, however it gives you full time blindsspot indicators without needing to use a turn signal, it gives you manual preconditioning, can time 0-60 and give you power info, accurate battery health and other stats
I wouldn't put it on every trip. just get a cheap phone as permanent. but I really like the idea, looking to the side didn't feel natural during my m3 test drive. also very important: they need to add more themes. at the very least a dark theme
They do have a dark theme - it activates at night (or you can select it to be permanently dark or light): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pgvS9YtRN_0.html
It is cool, but what about the tesla warranty since this application needs to be connected on the service port? Would it be considered a security risk by tesla?
Hi! According to the Teslogic website, it does not affect the Tesla warranty: teslogic.co/pages/faq In terms of security risks, I'm not sure of any - I've tried to do research on this but if you do have concerns, the slider inside the TESLOGIC control module to turn it on/off is actually to set the control settings on/off - so if you want the TESLOGIC to be read-only (not allow it to change any settings when you're driving), then that could be safer if you are concerned.
