Fixing the cord issue on my MAXPRO

I don’t know the definite answer to this but personally I would have to say no, being that it would snag the hole it comes out of. Maxpro, has replacement cords that they sell in case something like that happens

@@MrFocused82sorry.. it did not help... you know how you talked of a spring pull on the spool?. Well mine had nothing not anything at all. So I did like you showed but nothing.. then I just took the whole thing apart come to find out that the grommet that is in back connects to the spring metal thing in the spool... well this was already dis connected and you know once that spring pops your not gonna get that pull back action unlike the other side that is tight firm and has a snap pull back this side is weak and does not snapback cord has a bit of tensi9n but it unbalanced from the other side you know what I mean.. makes we thing or feel the weight heave on one side because of the one side pulling back.. so I emailed maxpro and we see what we do. . I did everything that they said by the videos so I don't know.. I have yet to use this thing just want it to be right you know that's all.. oh and the door brackets don't work on my German door frames .. darn doors are old style so what did I expect.any ways I let ya know what happens.

Maria Fielder hey thanks for the comment. I am waiting on my wall mount to come in and I will be drawing up something to see if maybe I can help them come up with a fig for the door issue. With the other issue with your grommet not working I will be more than happy to make a video taking mine out and showing you what you can do to fix that. I literally took everything apart and my spool came out all the way and I had to re-wind it back so I will make a short video showing how I did it.

@@MrFocused82 cool thanks.. friday I will talk with them over the phone and we see what is going on. You are very helpful.. I will try the door mount again maybe I did something wrong.. my door is old style german house are like that.. think your right about the mount maybe something shorter and thinner would work. I try again and let ya know.

Khanh Nguyen you may have to take everything apart and put it back together, the issue may be the plastic grommet that hooks up to the coils I will be making a full video soon regarding this

Did yours improve in any way? I just got mine and I'm experiencing the same issue. I stretched the cables all the way out and slowly retracted them but no luck it still stutters. I'm already thinking of returning it.

yeah do update if your cord hop was fixed. I'm having the same problem on one of my sides of my unit

@@boomboomtradingroom9646 I have the cord up too and it’s rough and jerky at heavier weights. Did some troubleshooting with MaxPro support but nothing helped so they sent me a shipping label to send it in for repair or for a new one. Now the struggle is do I send it and go 1-2 weeks without working out lol.

melikash I did have these issues as well so again I took everything apart and reset everything and that helped. With me I try not to go to heavy only cause of the type of workouts I’m doing but once I get my bench I will see how I can fix that issue if I still have it
