Your breaker box relocation and conversion would be a simple Saturday project. I could draw you a simple schematic, and the parts are at Home Depot. Saturday morning winch the office room out of the shop and turn into a shed, then afternoon do the electrical with a breaker and outlet for the welder. Simple Stuff!

My buddy was towing a huge enclosed trailer with his mid 70s pickup truck. Had to weld all kinds of braces to the frame for support. Something to think about with all your heavy towing. Thank you for all your videos. Awesome.

As several others have commented, upgrading the breaker subpanel is a very simple and easy job. You should be able to do it yourself with just a little coaching or viewing of a couple of RU-vid videos on the subject.

Nice trailer with the folding beaver tail. I have seen pictures of tractors broke in half from abusive loader work. Not just broken bolts either, totally broken castings or flanges on the castings.

I had asked about the tow unit under your 3500 4X4 Dodge, last week, like 5 month's from now. 🤔 l am really glad you did this update vidio, back when you did. l learned most of what l was looking for. I would like to see an install vidio, pics from the back, side , underneath and all around. I would like to know what make it is, how much it costs ? How much it can lift and tow? That is one nice thing about part-time 4x4, can tow without having to remove drive shaft,, i still run the 249 full-time transfer case in my zj, personally i like it and way it works, getting same mpg as prior 3 zj with part-time transfer case

I have a David Brown loader tractor. The bolts broke. (But I caught it) replaced, added 1/2” plate front yo step. The things that little reactor lifts.

Im glad you reinforced the frame. There is a new ram pickup pulling a bumper pull dump traiier .They overloaded it in a gravel pit with loader, truck bent in half It's on you tube. It would probably happen to any brand truck the way they loaded it.

That's why you don't but trucks with coil spring rear suspension. It leaves the frame completely unsupported from the axle back.

From looking at your panel you have blanks you can knock out and add a double pole breaker to that existing panel then wire you a 240 volt single phase outlet next to the panel with the amperage requirements for your welder.

Like your adventures an this is part of it an from a older guy that wishes he had did this yrs ago himself buy a truck hoist bigger than what will just do it will save you more than you know no more working on the floor an as you get older it hurts more an you end up paying more in the long run so save yourself well you still can

Hello you said your chassis needs to flex . But you can look at it in to way's you have a solid chassis and let your suspension will do all the flex that is the way it should be you can control suspension but hot a chassis 👍

Make a 3 way cord coming off 2 separate 110 breakers into a 220 outlet for your welder. It would be pretty easy to do. Until you’re able to rewire your panel box for 220.

I have a cord for doing exactly that, but all the breakers on this panel are running off the same 110 leg, so it wouldn't work.

I must say I was really excited about the snow cat flat deck tow truck that you've sold I had set myself up for can hardly wait till it snowed for those two units to work and have videos of. I am curious why you don't cut two doors in the two inside walls and use the tac room for your 'store all' room, all you equipment and shelving could be in there staying clean and you would have the room you need in the bay.

I like your update videos... And want more details on them! I like longer videos if they have content in them! So just let us see as much as possible! Different content just makes your channel more interesting, as long you don't jump over important parts to understand how and why you do things... It's really interesting to watch and compare to the European laws which are totally different and doesn't allow you to do many things which got no sense at all sometimes! I doubt that you are allowed to drive whit a gooseneck trailer anywhere here, at least without a license for the BIG rigs which you need directly when the lorry weights more than 3500 Kg and then your speed limit is 80 Km/h in Finland and if you drag anything whit a lorry you need a license for that too no difference if it is a 36 meters equipage or 10 meters and I think it's a really big difference!

Instead of tearing the room out, I'd make it either a paint booth for repainting things or fill it with the shelves and make it parts and tool storage. Save a lot of time and energy tearing it out that way. :D

I know your new truck is a multi-purpose truck. Though your modifications are a little difficult for me to swallow. (Most people are scared sh*tl*ss to add any dings to a new motor vehicle). But you always seem to come out ahead of any situation.

Welding it along the bottom does NOTHING for reinforcing a frame. Welding along the side of the frame is ehat stiffenes it up. You totally wasted you time. What you just did is pretty much nothing

As a practicing geotechnical and structural engineer I understand the mechanics of materials and what the effect of adding reinforcement to the side of the frame member does to the frame strength and stiffness. You are partially correct; adding the reinforcement to the bottom of the frame would improve the Section Modulus and Moment of Inertia of the frame more than it does if it is added to the side. However, the reinforcement he used (3/4 x 2") is a very substantial piece of steel and is much heavier steel than the original frame. I suspect his reinforcement will probably increase the bending resistance and stiffness of the frame by at least 50% which should be adequate reinforcing. Even though adding reinforcement to the side of the frame isn't as effective as adding it to the bottom, it is still substantial reinforcement and not at all wasted time and effort.
