Explanation and introduction of new rig to the fleet. Install of new rear locker in the tow truck. Lots of talking, so sorry to the people that don't like that.
he actually does care, Rory is an amazing dude that is actually 10xs everything he claims. Dudes a genius on lots of things most everyday people would never and could never fix and overcome. his way of thinking is great and I love getting the behind the scenes thoughts to why he’s doing what he does. Great channel and I would love to come out and visit one day and maybe go ride a trail in my truck with you in yours
@@jonathanhaney5673 I've been watching Rory's channel for several months and I think you have a pretty good handle on what makes his videos so popular. He doesn't need to apologize for the talking though. If I didn't want to hear his perspective on the things he's so good at, I might just drift off to Facebook or something (NOT!!!). I suspect a lot of what Rory has learned in his experiences in the desert won't be found on video. His commentary is valuable on its own. I've enjoyed many years of sitting with my grandfather or my dad listening to their memories from from 50 to 100 years ago. I'm quite a few years older than Rory but many of his experiences are far different than mine. I enjoy listening to him... and watching his videos. Thanks again, Rory!
Hey Rory, even though this video is a year old, it’s was a great video. Just know that whatever you post, you might think that it might not be interesting. It was. Loved the Backstory on why you acquired the Jeep. Been introduced to your channel from Matt’s. I think a lot of viewers came over because of Matt. Keep on posting, love your channel! 🤙😎
Rory, I did not discover your channel until just recently. (Thanks to Matt) I love your content and what you're about, real and heart felt. Thank you Rory I'm a fan for life.
They keep you busy, that's for sure. You seem like a really easy going, likeable guy who really loves his work. People are so fortunate to have you around to help out in times of need. Take care Rory.
That's how we learn - listening. Yup. Talk away! WE are listening. The story is what we love! Yeah. Yah Lilly! You do good making sure that you have what you need. That it works for what you do.
Good moves for your recovery side of the business. Enjoyed your explanation of the changes. Some of the things that go on when dealing with law enforcement dispatchers and their dealings with rescue outfits can be tough. The incident descriptors can vary greatly from the actual incident. ie: They sent us to a bbq pit on fire, and it was a garage, needed a pumper not a brush truck.
That's why they make toolboxes, different jobs need different tools. Great addition to the toolbox. Keep up the great work you've been doing. I love trailmator but seeing the locations is half the fun the other half is you coming up with a solution.
I thought the crossed straps looked ideal for off road towing with all the off camber stuff each vehicle gets on. Always fun to see a full crawler that just got done with a tough trail, and here you come with a wrecker, towing something,,,, gotta make you smile.
Rory this video I really enjoyed hearing the backstory on the new addition and some of your recovery calls I find interesting. You explaining things in my opinion adds some unique to your channel and I always like to learn new stuff.
Great addition, & for the intended use it will be perfect. Once again stepping up & doing what needs to be done. I wondered about the multi seat vehicle, but assumed that you had one & just didn't show it. Great job & thanks for sharing.
This video and everything that you said in this video is why you are the king the empire the best at off-road recovery that's why nobody should tell you what you should and shouldn't do they can give suggestions but they shouldn't tell you what to do keep up the good work God bless you and your family thank you for the content
Hooray, Picked the first video that dropped into my recommendations to check to see that you hit 100K subs. Congrats. As the cliche goes, it couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Enjoy the trophy when it arrives.
Dude, seriously? Hate the snorkel!? OMG man snorkels are cool and it’s on a Jeep of all things! Lol love the content man keep up the recovery videos, mad love out here
Rory my rigs mean a lot to me too! My Sequoia has 248k it was a good friends moms car we used to take it on all our teenage road trips. My Ford ranger is a 1986 it has 296k still runs like a top those little 2.3 4 bangers just run and run and run. I have a couple other rice rocket turbo honda shitboxes when the weather is nicer. Thanks for the videos dude!
On the rear straps, you have been reinforcing what I think I already knew… the internet has a lot of ideas that are good in theory but fail in practice. Thanks for your time.
Thank you for sharing the story of the Jeep addition. You have a great business there and using the right vehicle to get the job done is a good business decision.
Saved a group of mountain bikers on White Rim a couple years ago. It was triple digits in April. Fortunately we happened along and had plenty of water since we had planned to camp in Potato Bottom, but decided against it due to the temps.
Wise choice I don't watch you because your vehicles are pretty or customized. It's because they are without a doubt the most functional and durable unit on the trail. The simplicity and ultimate taskmaster is incredible. I know you'll make that jeep the most lethal trail recovery unit for for the King.
Excellent content, I saw where you thought the door squeak needed attention. I would just take the door off. But its your jeep, you know what you need. Far be it from me to tell you your job. Your the expert. Im just a fan! Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing!
L G O P! Too funny. I have used that phrase more times than I can remember. Good luck with the Jeep, it looks like you have made it into quite a capable rig. 👍👍❤️
“Vehicles mean a lot to me” …. I felt that on such a level I don’t even know how to put it in words. vehicles mean a lot to me as well. when they let you down it’s bad parts with an issue. Can be fixed. When people give you issues you can’t throw parts at them until they are fixed. Well you can but it may not fix anything hitting them with a transmission thrown from overhead
Hey Rory !! Guessing that WASN"T an "AIR or ELECTRIC "" locker ?? Have had "POSITIVE TRACTION "" rears on ALL of my 2 wheel drive P/U" S , but full lockers on the 4 W/D Suburban bought New in '89 !!! Keep that 1 up till '97 & was sold to a Dealer from TX. !! Have a good week & Thanks !!! Lots of talking & Explaining are teaching everyone who watches the videos !!!
You are 11% smarter than RU-vid or more. The talking is not slickrock. Life is about rock and how one thinks about moving over it. You are explaining what is crystal clear for you and is a masterclass for most. Would you consider adding left and right independent rear breaking on your truck for more control on front digs? If yes would you like a split pedal ( like with a tractor) or hand break levers?
Thanks (though I had to play the locker section at a quarter speed!). Have you thought about asking Voodoo ropes if they will do you (and themselves?) a favour and make the short section ropes you need?
I like the "new" addition. It seems to be perfect for your stated purpose. I'm a new subscriber and love your channel. Your ingenuity and off road expertise and applied knowledge is off the charts ! Keep all of your vids coming. Lastly, I've read your about page but don't recall your first name. What is it ? Thank You. Warmest Regards from your " neighbor" (lol) in Arizona.
@@trailmater Rory Irish, Nice to meet you, I'm virtually shaking your hand ! I saw your name rather heard it on your vid, with your daughter from 3 months ago. Heavy D sent me. Have a great day !
Hydraulic Hose's use the same black protector sleeve, if you go to any hydraulic hose shop they should have the hose sleeve. If you can't find it let me know and I'll have my wife that works at a hydraulic hose shop send you some!
Pepe's Towing / Josh Has Been Using Old / Older Fire Hose On Alot Probably Most Of His Straps & He Does HEAVY RESCUE ,HE Has i think 4 or 5 ROTATORS UP TO 100 TON I Think But it Really Saves His Straps So You Might Check His Ch. It's Good PEPE'S TOWING & HE IS Super Carefull Like You
Wow Rory is it sufficient to do one pass through the rope and then bury the end? I made loops like that in the dyneema rope for our marker buoys (for sailing) and I went back through the rope 3 times before burying the end. I possibly over engineered mine, but didn't want to lose the anchor weights in the lake. Cheers.
I'd like to know how you solve the door squeak. Because I have a Chevy Silverado 1500 WT and the driver doo is doing the same thing! I'm not sure what will tighten it back up.
Looks like you are now "In Training" to go to the Everglades, and help them deal with their Invasive python problem. (Wrestling green 'snakes' near the "End Credits." {P.S. - I agree with all the folks Commenting that you should enjoy your little daughter, whenever and wherever.})
Funny that it says: "Caution: Lots of Talking." DUH UH, That's why I watch it and if YOU listen, you may learn something. and, If you watch a little longer you find a "no-talking" section about how to replace a differential and check it out for engagement, and then he has the "Heeby Jeebies with a rope" and then "That's All Folks" Just Sayin'. Watch and Learn.
What locker is that you put in TrailMater now? I love watching your adventures and hearing the technical parts too. I do hope I don’t become the subject of one of your recoveries. Thus far I’ve been able to fix my junk enough to get out under my own power.
@@trailmater nothing wrong with the old reliable. Supply chain issues suck. Hopefully they can get their organization back together soon. It seems like everything is back ordered.
