@@Victorkapz at that time of the trade the opinions were Denver got a great deal and JS got fleeced instead. 2 first round picks and change are cheap for a franchise qb in his prime. Denver fans and media were ecstatic while Hawks fans and media were fuming at the time of the trade. Look at how much the Jets paid for Rodgers who was 39 years old at the time of the trade. 20/20 RW didn’t play well in his first year at Denver which gave the Hawks the 5th pick in 2023. But no one expected that to happen. Denver thought that with their roster all they’re missing is a franchise qb for them to go deep into the playoffs. Had the result played out, the Hawks would’ve gotten a low pick in 2023 instead of the 5th pick. Even with the 5th pick, I wouldn’t call Seattle fleeing Denver. The only reason you’re saying Seattle fleeced Denver is due to the fact that RW hasn’t played at the franchise level at Denver. If he had played at the level when everyone thought he was a franchise qb, you would barely be happy that the Seahawks got Charles Cross, Witherspoon and a few minor players for RW.

@@jdellis94-22 it totally is a loser mentality when you're not doing everything that you can to keep a player that you brought in to be a game wrecker, only a mere 10 games ago. If you want to be a successful as possible, then you need to keep those kinds of players at all costs.

@@aidankeller1717 sounds good but in reality there is cap space and there are many other positions that need to be addressed and putting all your eggs in one basket.

@@jdellis94-22 agreed. I believe John and Mike will be able to keep him while also addressing the other positions (and only they know how they'll address this problem). This shouldn't be as big of a worry as it was before the cap increase, but it'll be very intriguing to see what happens over the next few months.

Do you really think that John is stupid enough to trade away his pro bowl qb and a 3rd round pick for Justin? Fields is a talented qb, but not a good fit for Grubb's system. Geno on the other hand is absolutely perfect for Grubb's system.

@@aidankeller1717 I'm looking at Cap Hit in this as well 6m as a cap hit for a QB who is a first round pick from 2 years ago would open up a lot of options. Fields is a very young, athletic QB who has been in a terrible situation and would probably do much better with a change of pace. Geno would be better in year one, but he'll age out soon.
