Repairing a Frigidaire professional series microwave door. Fix for sagging broken frigidaire microwave door. A little trial and error with the rivet gun. Guest appearance by Disco the cat and Marshelle the wife.

Went to Menards and got a rivet gun, then watched this video a 3rd or 4th time. Got the door off, and figured out how to use the gun, and in 5 minutes our long "sagging" MW door was fixed! "TaDa" is right! Thanks for the video. $12 rivet gun sure cost less than a home repair service charge, or a new $600 MW! Is your MW still fixed? Husband is thinking of all the riveting jobs we can do now or should have done in the past.....

Still fixed two years later! Looks like the top factory rivet is now going maybe we'll do a sequel video fixing the top one. Yes, it's a lot cheaper than a repairman or a new microwave and bottom rivet still holding fine after a ton of use.

How do you fix the latching mechanism for this microwave? Mine is not closing anymore and I hear some pieces rattling inside the door…

It would be very helpful if you told us what size rivet you used.

I did some trial and error with the rivets included with the rivet gun. I just made sure the head would cover hole and rivet would fit in but not too loose.

Is there any concern for electrical wires or circuit board you could short out when installing the rivets?

Diego Gideons It does not seem like a circuit board or wired back there. But I have not taken completely apart. Pretty straight forward and door is still working fine.
