Hey taylor, rent a small-mid sized skidsteer for 1-2 , maybe 3 days (depending on how early you start and comfortable operating you get) with a bucket and harley / power rake attachments. Get a landscaping rake. Order topsoil for day 1, use the internet to calculate how much you need or just get a truck load to start. Use the power rake to grade and till the current soil + grass. Then use the bucket to spread topsoil 1-2 inches where you need it. After it's spread re use the harley rake to grade the new top layer. Use the landscaping rake to find tune the grade and clean up small/low high areas. Use the power rake liberally to achieve a good grade. (which you basically already have) Seed spreader, seed it, cover all the seed by hand with shredded hay. Water water water, gl bro

It would've cost less to just buy a bagger kit for that zero turn. Mulch and bag the clippings, and it would've vacuumed the leaves right out of the lawn. Battery mowers don't get enough lift/suction. The mowarator might need leaf blades as well, to help improve it's lift/suction.

Dig two pits in some yard corner, make them watertight. Build some fences around them. Throw leafs in one of them. Add some water every now and then. When one is full, start to use the other one. When the other one is full too, empty the first one. Leafs turn in to top soil in no time when they are in big pile and some moisture is added.

MY DUDE, instead of throwing out all your yard waste in trash bags, you could start a small 2 to 3 bed compost area in the back corner of your yard. With composting, you're taking all the bio-mass waste from the yard and reinvesting it into your landscaping. We throw a lot of our kitchen scraps and shredded cardboard in there too, the worms and bugs make pretty quick work of it with very minimal effort from us. We then take all that awesome soil from the finished compost and backfill our flower/grow beds... It's a win, win, win! CHEAP, EASY AND GOOD all at the same time with compost...lol

Love these videos Taylor, keep them coming. I must admit, I would tear out alot of those bushes and small trees along the road side of the yard. It would simplify mowing the lawn, the yard will look cleaner in general, plus less clutter/leaf litter will drop and gather! For example, the property over the road, very little vegetation and the curb side appeal is great!
@Bob-ir4lr
@Bob-ir4lr 24 дня назад

My inner dad brain is really pushing me to start throwing out advice nuggets at ya, but I’m gonna refrain. I will say that just throwing seed on what you have will prove frivolous. i remeber when we first moved into our current home. The yard had been neglected for years and As hard as I tried to get on top of it the first year, it was just overwhelming. I eventually bit the bullet and hired a landscaping company to clean and clear to get me to the point that I could restore the lawn and finally get to work on redoing some of the scaped areas on my own. Let me tell you it was the best $3200 I ever spent. They cleaned up everything and hauled it all away and left me with a great foundation to work with. I still use them twice a year for spring and fall seeding, treatment and fertilizer which is less than $400/year. Over the years I struck up a friendship with the lead lawn tech that does my yard and he helped a couple years ago put in a cool 106 yard par 3 with a putting green. Decent equipment is key to maintenance and I couldn't be happier. I appreciate the sweat equity you're putting in but for me there were better ways to spend my time when it came to the cleanup process.

Doesn't have to be big to make a huge difference in working temperature in there. Also pro tip, since you said you ofc don't know where all the parts you have actually are, print out lablea on your printer (don't need a label maker) and create a logical system, where you number or alphabetise your toats, for example A1 has air tools, B1 has brake parts, C1 has coilovers etc. I have that system and it changed my life!

I honestly surprised how well that little robo mower picks up the leaves. I'm not a fan of it, but very surprised how well it did. I would be using a back pack blower and raking it up in half the time

I can’t wait until the day those shrubs get cleaned out.

You need a firepit Taylor!! Burn off all those leaves, and branches that are kicking around. Much easier to get rid of it all!

Definitely need to try what looks like shrubs in the island. And get a load off pine straw to make it look better

Yes Taylor, there was a time around 30 -40 years ago that all these things were bought in one piece. And I'm only 63 years old! 😉🤣

Leave a cooler by the bags with a couple cold drinks for the trash guys and I’m sure they’ll take it all. Was a trash man for 8 years, it’s much appreciated when it’s 90+ outside, take care of them they’ll take care of you

Man yalls dumpster service is awesome we get one small bin no garden debris is allowed in it or metal and everything you cant fit or doesn't belong we have to haul out to landfill ourselves one week every year we have a city clean up where you can set everything out and its picked up by city and hauled out so if you dnt have a pickup or trailer is sits all year waiting for that 1 week of cleanup

Most things bought in the late 60's early 70's were bought completely assembled. I started noticing the chinese steel in nuts and bolts and that was the time most items needed some assembly. Greed by big box stores taking over. The demise of the mom and pops stores who always hired a couple of young men to assemble items. Seeing all this change in my life is amazing. My grandparents were born in the late 1890's. Imagine the change they saw. Life is huge to say the least!

1998-2000 I assembled things for wal-mart. We would sell things disassembled but we assembled most of the items. Lawn furniture, mowers, grills. Additionally if we didn't have something assembled you could buy it and we'd assemble it overnight and you could pick it up the next day.

I have that same zero mower. It's invaluable as to how much hauling and torque it has to use for yard work. Kohler made a good engine.

Hi Taylor, I think the RV carport would be ideal with further hard standing, then no need park on the lawn going forwards! ❤

Put that side panel of the shop on top of the container roof. Also i feel that remote controled mower is more like a gimmick.

some shed roofing spaced a few inches off the roof of the container would make a massive difference to the temperature inside it, it would also prevent water from pooling on the top which will eventually lead to rust
