The reason why your horn went bad is actually you don't have the wheel inner liner. The liner is supposed to guard the parts from water

My car is doing the exact same thing! my horn sounds like a goose 😂 this is the only video I found that really shows the horn. I was wondering though did you try replacing any fuses before getting a new horn? I’m trying to troubleshoot and see if I can figure out how to fix it.

Tip: if you ever have to replace the headlights the right side you can stick your arm up inside that wheel liner vs taking the bumper off. Left side you can get from the top. I have the same car but 2012 model. I didn't have a fender liner on the left side, I ordered one online for abt 15 dollars along with a body clip kit from amazon for about 6 bucks. I just replaced my clips with regular christmas tree clips. I've had no problems.

Just a heads up for anyone seeing this i have a 2010 fusion. They are on a dual mount as you seen here, i tried buying a universal horn and it didn't work. Either need jumper wires which wouldn't be exactly be safe for my fuse or a different wiring harness. To the junkyard i go on my next early day off.
