If you want to show your support: buymeacoffee.c... If you are having issues with your 80 Series Land Cruiser having a whining noise, here is a temporary fix!
Glad to see you back on YT. I just replaced my steering gear box. Similar problem as yours and now its gone. Also, regular power steering fluid will dry out the hoses over time. Using ATF is the best option.
Hey mate. Just wanna say I'm really enjoying your videos. They are helping me alot. I bought a 91fj80 at the beginning on this month. And doing the base lining on it. Just waiting for parts at wits end. I did the carbon canister replacement. (Thanks to your video) and planing to do a rebuilt on the OEM canister and post it on the ih8mud forum. So thank you so much for these videos
One thing which you should do. Put the truck on jack stands so the tires don't have any resistance and then work the steering. You could cause premature wear if there is a lot of resistance and the system is struggling/dry. There are definitely contaminants in there afterwards though so it should be flushed entirely but nice job getting rid of the noise :)
I just bought one and having the baseline repairs done by a shop. I noticed a clear fluid leak a couple days dead center of the engine. Doesn't look like motor oil, power steering fluid or brake fluid. Any ideas?
I have a 3fe that wont Start, it Is getting a positive valuel to all of the wires that go to the injectors, but the computer wont send the signal to the injectors firé...what can this be? It has spark
You have only posted this 4 hours ago and I keep running into most issues you do right after you post. Guess keeping my notifications on for your videos will keep me ahead of a breakdown.
Love ur vids mate not sure if u did it off camera but when u bleed ur power steering set up u normally go full lock to lock so u get all the air out the whole system and I e used dex 3 atf in all my cars steering systems
I recently washed my 80 & water was pouring down into the driver side & soaked my carpet, any idea what that could be? I have a leaking sunroof but I don’t think that’s making the water go down my driver side
