Great video, but I feel some people might be fooled by the "standalone Maschine+" stuff. Most of the footage and features are done in the controller mode only in this video.
They try to explain kind of basic things so passionately lol You really load samples by just touching a pad and pressing load?? such wow! And it can see folders?? Holy Molly! 😅
nice video , im still rocking the maschine studio and jam , does all i need it to, record a live set to external analogue mixer, tweek eq etc on analog mixer then record session back into studio , or to external recorder. you made a great unit with the studio and the jam also thats all i need .
throwing $ at these artists to make the umpteenth iteration of the same NI marketing spiel is one thing. To have said artists pretend on camera like the clunky scenes arrangement actually carries any benefit over a proper arrangement view, sth. NI customers have been begging for for over a decade no less, is beyond audacious.
what do you think about connecting two machines plus over ableton ,liink and then doing a live set with two machines plugged into a dj mixer, this gives you more voice channels and amazing pooprtunities
native instruments..I spoke with blezz beats about gui for massive ,fm8 ,etc..they said there is no plans of support to show knob per function for those synths..is this true?thank you
I had one, fell in love with it's beauty and workflow. But the CPU is weak - and even though I replaced the SD card, updated the firmware AND used effects routing, it would free, crash and sometimes not even shut down. This was a brand new, shop bought Maschine. I loved the sounds, the ease and pure addictive fun of the flow, but for live jams it's untrust worthy, and the fact you can't pre arm a sequence to end when it comes to the final bar (you can only STOP it or MUTE it, which can destroy the flow and structure) is an update I'd very much like to see in V2..
i thought they just smokin weed all the time and do random things unresponsabbly in studio, but now isee i was mistaken.it's hard way and lot of time in studio make groovy tracks
By ear should be enough and should come always first of course - trust your ears! If it sound good - it’s usually good otherwise the monitoring isn’t :-)
Thank you for this video it’s very interesting to see how producers use the Maschine plus. I think that Ableton link is a game changer when you want to play on stage ! That way you can connect your computer and your machine plus you can make live even easier.
I’m thinking of selling my mk3 to raise funds for a Maschine plus as I really want to standalone capabilities. Has anyone gone down a similar path? The plus is pretty expensive so I need to be sure it’s the right choice. Perhaps I’ll get a second hand one. I have 3 synths that I need to be able to sequence with it, and then all will be well! ;)
Guys- it is so motivating the way you present the functions of Maschine. I am owning one now since 6 Month and I am not even able to crate one loop or load any own created sample. It is verry verry complicated to handle. When I have unboxed the Maschine it took aprox 5 days before I`ve got the first sound of it. I am not convinced anymore...
It's not that I don't appreciate their music, but I bought maschine mk1 about 3 months after it first came out. I think NI should give me a free MK2 as replacement. I've been producing electronic music for 22 years, but just as a hobby for my own enjoyment. Some serious live stuff could be done using multiple maschine stand alones in a server rack. FL studio as the audio host on the main computer , RME and Rednets all over the show. Slowly day by day I'll get there.
I already saw crazy live acts with just one Maschine ! (with laptop and Maschine as a DAW) No need multiple Maschine :) And with a good soundcard, multiples output, and a 16 tracks mixer, you can do lot of things on live act !
@@anaphylastiks Yeah it's a powerfull machine this Maschine ! But for make a live-act with just one Maschine (and two hands !), it needs a good preparation. About the "one Maschine" live-acts, I saw them in free party.
4:46 only one problem there is no plugin on the Maschine plus to make the low end mono. Especially when you use reverb like they describe it’s very important to make your low end mono…
Thats great concept about layering sounds, also super complicated doing it in that hardware thino, but you lose the essence of the one sound. Having just one layer of a sound is listening to the sound in its pure original form, this is another way to view or make music which I prefer. I think it sounds thicker, cleaner, and better.
I still use maschine mk1, can't afford a new one. It's a bit rough but still I make far better live techno than these guys. Maschine plus, seems like a gimmick. Best to build a purpose built music rig and use normal maschine.
