Love, love love Matthew Norway! Now that I’m here from America, my Norwegian boyfriend & I can enjoy his videos together and choose our next fabulous destination. Thanks Matthew!! ❤️
Matthew, to tell you the truth. You are great inspiration for me. I have some chronic illnes issue and this get me motivate to be back ok and do what I love. Your are really great not only in cycling but also in video maker as well. You are doing great service to Norway and all bikepacking community.
Hello! My new friend. Wow! It's such a healing and admiration video. Especially, the view of nature is fantastic. I watch your video until the end. I hope everything you do will be successful in 2022. 👍👍👍
Nice footages, nice audio and editing. Really enjoyed this! Inspiring to see the possibilites, especially since I'm planning some trips myself for this year. First trip will be to Geiranger and Dalsnibba + Trollstigen and Åndalsnes. But this will be on my Trek roadbike. This though makes me want to get a gravelbike as well! Thanks for the effort!
Thanks 🙏, to be honest you could probably get your road bike through Aursjøvegen. Bang on 30-32mm tires if you have the clearance and it shouldn’t be a problem. Overall the road is in great condition.
"It's the smallest of moments that mean so much" How very true. A brilliant second episode to this series. I can't wait for E3. By the way, is that a Fizik Arione you're using? Take care and ride safe. JP
Hey Mathew, lovely videos and places! Great storytelling. It’s such a scenic country. I was thinking of bikepacking the south of Norway in August and am unsure whether I should bring my tent or the hammock setup. Often times it looks like uneven/rocky terrain with a lot of trees. Towards the coast (Eurovelo 12) it’s more flat soft ground without trees. Both setups would be same weight, so just depends on what is easier to find in most cases. Do you have any recommendations?
A++. You have to be lucky with the weather. Would the latter part of the summer July/August or Aug/Sept be better weather than May/June/July? Looking at doing a 2 month tour this summer.
Another awesome file Mathew. I agree with you re best way to see/experience places is by bike, the highs & lows and how far can one push ones self is somewhat addictive.
I always start a route at a town with a train station. It’s the easiest way to transport a bike and bags without dismantling it. If you watch Ep. 1 you see how and where I started this route.
Hey I really like your videos, but what is up with your camera quality while youre riding? It turns into grabage quality as soon as you start riding. When you have a selfie video or a drone shot, those look amazing, but the shots while youre riding are very grainy and of bad quality. If you could fix those and would make your video's resolution consistent throughout the whole video I think it'd be a great improvement, cheers!
I'm afraid this quality drop might not do the justice for the views you went through and that means I'll have to cycle it myself and make sure they're as good as you say :D
Hi, the GoPro footage does drop quality in low light. Cycling 150km in a day and at the same time trying to film is very challenging. I never have consistent quality as a lot of the time it’s just point and shoot and try a capture whatever I can while moving at speed. Nevertheless I appreciate your feedback as I’m constantly trying to improve the videos. I’ve just purchased a new GoPro 10 and will film more in 4K in the future.
@@matthewnorway just so you know you just inspired me and my girlfriend to go bike packing in Norway this season. We were looking for a route for 2022 and found your channel and boiiiii does it have some offers mate :D Thank you for that! We messaged you on Insta about the routes but no response yet, maybe you could share where we could find those routes?
@@matthewnorway to be more constructive about my comment look at the 1080p youtube video at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-p8Oq-rlMFdE.html and then a section in a video with drone footage at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-p8Oq-rlMFdE.html. It is a big noticeable difference in quality which is quite visible when looking at it on a good screen (MB Pro 16" or OLED TV). And it sometimes makes it a bit annoying that you can't appreciate those views to the full :D but in a good way. Who does not like to look at those fjords in UHD/4K, right :D Yeah GoPros are notorious for filming good quality whilst on the move so I'm hoping it will help with the future videos!! I did not want to come off as rude, but thought you should know about this since I see that the quality did not improve since last season, so maybe you were unaware. Hope it helped, cheers!
