She is just amazing.. in so many ways. We are two sisters making our *own music* which can be found on our channel, like our new song *ALL NIGHT* or *TAKE IT ALL* and she's a real inspiration for us. You might like our music as well. Thank you so much for your time *x*
Lyrics [Verse 1] Every time you look outside your window Everything is just the same as before You are turning round and round You see, it's a sad day for sure [Pre-Chorus] Taste the fruit of me Make love to all you see [Chorus] Ah, would you make a, make a, make a wish on my love? Ah, would you make a, make a, make a wish on my love? Ah would you make a, make a, make a wish on my love? Ah, would you make a, make a, make a wish on my love? [Verse 2] Take a chance on all the things you can't see Make a wish on all that lives within thee If you're foolishly in love with me It's a fine day for sure [Pre-Chorus] Taste the fruit of me Make love to all you see [Chorus] Ah, would you make a, make a, make a wish on my love? Ah, would you make a, make a, make a wish on my love? Ah, would you make a, make a, make a wish on my love? Ah, would you make a, make a, make a wish on my love? [Bridge] You're running And I tried to make it work before You're running I made you sad before I, then I Have you ever made a wish before I see you running I made you sad before [Verse 3] I can imagine a world when my arms are embraced around you I lie naked and pure With intentions to cleanse you and take you The city howls with a cry to seduce you And claim you So it's time And it's a sad day for sure [Chorus] Would you make a, make a, make a wish on my love? Ah, would you make a, make a, make a wish on my love? Ah, would you make a, make a, make a wish on my love? Ah, would you make a, make a, make a wish on my love?
Something about the frailty of her voice pressed up against the stuttering, harsh breaks just gets me. It is astounding. It evokes the feeling of a butterfly caught in a rainstorm.
I'm listening this song for the first time while reading and I just came accross this sentence: " Maybe, you don't miss people. Maybe, we miss the life we could have with them. " And it was a very beautiful moment.
fka: would y- me: talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference, put it in a blender, shit on it, vomit on it, eat it, give birth to it.
A few years ago I needed a minor surgical procedure, which required general anesthesia. While I was under, and while recovering, in and out of delirium, I was having these vivid lucid dreams. I remember waking up with “pendulum” in my head. I was hearing FKA Twigs singing “I’m a sweee-eet little love maker.” I’m still processing all that, really.
It’s so crazy that whenever i’m watching something I enjoy and scrolling through the comments, i always read a quoted comment at the exact moment I hear it from the video...
This song broke me every time. It is the catalyst for the feelings of mourning and pain for a person who is no longer with us in this earth but who is forever part of my heart. I hope the future will be a "fine day for sure".
FKA Twigs released this a day before my birthday. I was at 12am crying cause I broke off my relationship. She just knows how to convey that feeling into this particular song.
My baby Twigs truly has reinvented herself and we her fans have grown with her. As I said in many other live videos of this album. EP1 and Ep2 reflected on her as her being a gentle, yet provocative and very mystical flower exploring adulthood in very unique ways and finding herself on more profound levels, on her way to blossoming into the more sensual goddess that she became from LP1, from there she trancended into a rebelliously sexy and fearless phase, she became Mellissa. She hinted us many times that she couldnt wait to finally meet her older self, a more mature and grown being, Magdalene. This era of twigs shows her growth. This song and Cellophane are powerful enough in their own.... this girl is in her own lane. You might not understand her craft. But she stays consistent. ❤ Melissa taught us to be fearless and not silence ourselves over our own convictions, to remain fierce against those that shut us down, and speak up without hesitation. "In time" and "Glass and patron" showcases that energy. Magdalene is teaching us that while being outspoken and fierce is good, being genuinely vulnerable and staying authentic to your feelings is also a powerful tool that can help you understand how to move forward with grace. (Falling down gracefully and dusting yourself off like in Cellophane) sad day showcases her softer side and compliments her other songs. In Holy Terrain she gives us a taste of both the reminiscent traces of her old sensual self, but also telling us she has grown to value herself even more than before now, her body is now a Holy terrain, and those who try to enter must prove it, as she says "for a man who can follow his heart and not get bound by his boys and his chains and stand up in her holy terrain". Shes stronger now. :)
@@down2jupiter no probs. Hoensly she has a whole catalogue of music from 2012-2019. Ep1, EP2, LP 1(her debut album), Meli55a EP, and now her sophmore album Magdalene. But she has lots of unreleased demos and unfinished songs too. The ones we all hope will be on her next Ep or album are Yes Yes Yes, I find My Self, Thousand Stars(Youth). You csn download them on youtube using listentoyoutube (just google it) she performed them on her tour in 2016. But never released them.
@@Bonitaymorena turns out I actually knew what MELISSA was all along! She spells it differently so that's why I was confused. Thanks anyways though. And yeah I hope she releases some un released tracks as well! Wound up would sound so good as a studio version :)
@@HARVEYJAIMES1 holy terrain is not bad lol ToT but Cellophane & home with you are on another level; they're two of the best songs this year and... ever
I heard the podcast of the Louis Thureaux interview, and to be honest, I was expecting an empty headed 20 something... and then I was blown away. She may look young and exotic, but she has a wisdom about her that far exceeds many older people I have heard. To say I was impressed (and disappointed with myself for being so prejudiced) is an understatement... and THEN I searched out her music and, well she made a joke about meeting her idols and doing "a Wayne's World" you know, getting down on her knees and chanting "We are not worthy", I'm 55, I've been a regular festival goer, worked in hospitality and met some BIG names... she is up there, as original as Bowie, the insight of Kate Bush, the grace of Beyonce, the hidden pain of Tina Turner, and the inquisitiveness of Stephen Fry! I hope she reads this, as someone who comes from the neighbouring county of Worcestershire, and was raised on the artists she so admires, I absolutely "get" what she is saying, and I say... Twigs, you are speaking across the generations, as quality and originality always has done. Stay safe in 2021 everyone.
It’s pure art. And as any good art, it’s underrated. We can’t get it all right away, but I hope the people of the future will find this jewel and appreciate it even more ❤️
Was looking forward for a video as well, but I'm satisfied with staring at her majestic half standing in that hall. Imagine seeing her on your doorstep.. what a lovely creature.
Luis Vargas ganaría más dinero por lo cual aumentarían las posibilidades de sacar más música o poder producir más contenido. Tristemente, el reconocimiento es necesario, aunque debo admitir que el arte no vende 😓
I know she said that Kate Bush is an influence, but this is pure adoration towards the great Kate. Outstanding, moody introspective song. This gal is ready to bust out.
I tried to listen to fka's music a while ago and it just didn't do it for me. Yesterday I was tripping and decided to listen to this album and holy fuck, it is truly magical. I am in love now.
This is such a beautiful song. It's that song that makes you think about your first love or current love, whilst on the train. Whether it be bright or sad thoughts, you just think of them.
This album is amazing man. It mixes in its sound some talentful art pop singers such as Kate Bush or Bjork but in every second of this record, it feels very unique aswell. Its a pleasure to live a life if this kind of things exists
All I keep thinking about listening to your masterpiece is that I was blessed with the whole live version of it last May in nyc and I didn't see it coming. So powerful, so strong yet eternally fragile. You share with us the energy that every living thing in the universe resonates. But it's your own and extremely personal and humble.
'sad day' is my favorite song from MAGDALENE...today anyways, it does seem too change regularly...yesterday it was 'holy terrain' and the day before it was 'cellophane' and tomorrow? Well tomorrow it very well could be 'fallen alien'...but the whole of MAGDALENE is quite brilliant and lovely and each new listen reveals so many more layers and hidden elements to each song. There is so much to unpack here, I'm sure it'll keep me thoroughly engaged for quite some time. Thank you, FKA twigs for sharing your art with us. The world and we all are better off for it.
