Wish I had videos like this back in 2006 lol. I used a cracked version of FL studio 8 and learned on my own. Still use fl studio 8 till this day. I also use FL 20 too and make beats for fun. And give them away to a few local artist in my city.

in the piano roll, far left dropdown arrow, view, helpers, scale highlighting. lighter lines are in whatever key you pick, or if you drop 3 notes in piano roll in auto mode, it will guess what scale youre writing in
