Thanks for the update. Hopefully you guys can make the scale highlight a bit darker so it’s easy for us to see and know what to play. It’s kinda hard seeing it since it’s so light colored
Wow! I can't believe this is a dot-one update, there's a ton of useful updates here. It's really exciting to see FL Studio managed so well even after all these years. It just gets better and better.
they need a duplicate whole playlist function so we can slow or pitch each one separately then merge them together like the complete playlist section this will be the holy grail in my opinion
On behalf of all Music Producers & Artists I just want to say , We Love You Image-Line !!!! Thank You For All Your Hard Efforts & Dedicated work your incredible team does for us producers, without you we are nothing !!!thank you again ❤❤❤
I was a FL user many years ago and at some point I moved to a more ''all arounder'' DAW, but I always keep one eye on FL and I must say, am genuinely impressed for how much u guys have developed this DAW. If we put the Lobbying, marketing and ''deep connections'' apart and see the reality for what it is, i think FL is the real ''standard''... Kudos to ImageLine 😀😀😀
If audio editing was as smooth as S1... I love FL for beatmaking but the workflow for editing/cutting/gain vocal clips isn't very smooth... just give me handles as in S1 and I'll try back FL.
I haven’t used S1 so I’m not sure if I know what you’re talking about exactly, but ever since FL 21 they have automatic crossfades, fade in/fade out handles and clip gain. I used to edit vocals in old versions and it was a pain but nowadays it’s a complete breeze! :)
Tbh this update is a far bigger deal for me than FL 21 itself! Finally, I can save the scale I use within a project. Finally, MIDI jitter is fixed. Finally, external MIDI sync... though, I didn't really have a need for it so far, but it's still incredible!
Ok, How do you save the scale, cause I just got the update and it DOES NOT save the scale. It just highlights the last scale I selected manually, same as before... Piano roll options > View > Scale Highlighting > ...
@@mexezmusic You need to add it as a piano roll time marker. Seems like a bit of a hassle within an existing project, as you need to do it in every pattern, but I guess it's the most flexible solution. You could also just clone a pattern with the scale marker already in it.
Resizable slicex is LOOOOONG OVERDUE! But its finally here. And that key sync in pianoroll is such a gamechanger to me, wow! Very impressive update guys!
FL Studio lifetime updates is the reason I committed to buying all the features as a learning music producer (no other DAW lets me get new benefits without another cost). I love the fact that you offer python scripts another way to see new opportunities in music production as a software engineer. Happy to purchase any further new plugins to help fund growth options to benefit the community. Look forward to FL Studio 22 and beyond. Thank you for your work :)
Been using this program for 4 years and its worth every penny and on top of that the free lifetime updates that itself is all you need to buy this. Thank you FL team
You guys have always been one step ahead of every other DAW. I am happy i have FL as my main DAW. Since FL 21 i have started making music with FL. I have bought the Signature Bundle and it was worth every cent.❤️
I was not expecting the python scripting. Now I’m glad I over-studied python in school. I also like the snap to scale feature, I always seem to place notes incorrectly and I sometimes also want to raise a certain arpeggio by 2 semitones. This will save me so much time. Great update.
@@pixssassin If your are comfortable with Java then Python is a walk in the park as long as you aren't trying to do things not well suited to the language and associated ecosystem. Hard to beat python for simple scripting and gluing.
@@HOLLASOUNDStruth. I love recording instruments and midi into reason but other than that, fl studio has surpassed reason ages ago. Started reason when it was duo
@@Palmbeachrider If We compare the development of Reasons DAW vs FL studio it's way, behind and it's a bit annoying, sequencer updates are nowhere to be seen. I'm pretty sure there has been no new piano roll update since 9.
Thanks for the great update! A few things I'm dying to see in future updates are a "Drum Editor Mode" in the piano roll and custom labeling for piano roll keys. These 2 functions would absolutely complete the piano roll experience in FL.
FPC and SliceX markers let you rename the piano roll notes, but it's a bit annoying that it's only limited to basically those two plugins and nothing else. I agree with this change, it should implemented!
Yes, exactly!! I want to be able to arrange drums in the piano roll, similar to how it works in the FL Studio Mobile app! This would be an incredible addition and absolutely essential for creating complex drum grooves in the piano roll!
100% agree with this, It would make working with certain kontakt instruments so much easier off the bat without having to rely on BRSO Articulate and mapping midi channels.
These updates are so good that by the time FL Studio 30 comes out, it'll just already record/mix/master the song that's in your head. Great updates and best DAW 🔥🔥
Hi guys, Cubase user for almost 3 years here that has recently moved to FL Studio! Absolutely loving the workflow and I’d love to see a small but important update for the future. I’d love to have the possibility to see db markers on every single fader and not just on the left of the mixer. When balancing the sounds of a track having numbers markers on the db meter and peak db indicators under every fader, would really help me and other daw users that want to move to FL for its workflow (that right now for me it’s slowed down just because of what I described earlier). Really hope to see this small but important feature in the future 🙌
Yes! Such HUGE improvements lately! I am absolutely loving this! I am right in the middle of several new tracks right now & I will be using these features for sure! BIG UP FL STUDIO! THANK YOU!
I had problems with unwanted distorted vocals because of singing too close to the mic. That edison update is a game changer, I bought the all bundle edition to support the best I can. Thanks FL!
Updates just like this are why I have stuck with FL as my primary DAW since FL Studio 8. The workflow and piano roll are bar-none, and fully useable for us indie game composers. Amazing work.
Sync to external clock couldn't have come at a better time! I've recently started trying to go for a hybrid setup, and now I get to keep my Elektron gear as the master clock. Thank you!
I've been using FL for more than 4 years now. And it STILL is getting better. There is a fine line between being complex, stylish and useful at the same time. Image-Line just nails these all the way every time. I just think that FL can't NOT be the best DAW there is in these years. Keep going Image-Line. ❤️
So True 😂 😂 didn't even get a usual notification I just saw something online then went straight to the image line site. Having the updates download in DAW niiiiiice
This is one of many reasons I will use FL Studio forever as a music producer, and quite literally nothing can change that. Really great QoL update you got there!
This is awesome! I know you have a lot of feature requests, but subgroups in the playlist would be a game changer for organization and workflow! And not the single subgroup we already have, but subgroups of subgroups. I would use this in EVERY project
I just recovered an old FL track I wrote in 2001 and reworked and remastered it. Amazing it's 22 years old. And apart from some missing instruments, worked fine.
What I’ve been dying to see implemented into FL studio is a way to listen to a short preview of all your projects. Instead of having to load them up everytime, if you’re someone like me who names all there projects random words and forget what’s what, this would be beyond helpful.
That's a good suggestion, it could do an automatic render of some amount of seconds of the project, which can then be played back when browsing to choose a project. Maybe 15 seconds or something.
@@naderabihana9091 it humanizes the MIDI performance. It will offset the note start/end and velocity randomly (you define by how much), if you want. Just to make it feel a bit more “natural” and imperfect. Doing that manually can be quite a chore, so it’s nice to see we’ve got a script for that now.
FL Studio I'll like to suggest that on the next update, you should add a Midi Sheet/Score Viewer To Also Appear Next To The Piano Roll. You know just in case a producer wants to View the project as a sheet music. This feature is available in Cubase and Logic Pro X. Would be nice to have it in FL👍
There's an even cooler special reason for those 'colourful wave forms' coming in a future update, which will blow everybody away. But that brand new feature is hush hush for now. 😉
So dope y’all took one of my suggestions and made it smoother 💯 Shout out image line for keeping tapped in with the user base and updating for us ♥️🙌🏼 0:54
you keep fixing stuff right at the moment where i get so frustrated with specific issue i start looking at other daws for the past few years. thanks for that.
You just made me now fully embrace being part of the FL Gang. I was hessiant. I was scared. I got home sick. I felt like all the kids were looking at me funny. But now I'm all about this amazing DAW and it's magical weirdness.
Wow those are amazing! I'm especially excited about stabilizing the MIDI jitter, this I'm really looking forward to and I'm going to update my FL immediately as this is something I have experienced multiple times :) Great work, Image-Line!!
Please start showing other genres the same love as “dance” genres. I get that that’s how FL started, but the user base is so much more diverse these days. Thanks for the content 💪🏽🙏🏽
In the poll about what genre users produce that was recently on the forum, over 90% of people chose at least one dance music style... So it's still very much at the core of FL Studio. I think the change has to be far far greater for anything else to be deserving of "the same love"
@@ShroomheadOne I’ve been in that forum and can’t recall ever seeing anyone other than dance producers on there, yet I see several discords and subreddits with hundreds, and hundreds of trap, rnb, reggaeton and other genres of producers. Not to mention the non-dance RU-vid tutorials with 10’s of thousands of videos and likes. I don’t think that poll is accurate because it seems most people in there are older folks who’ve been with FL for waaaayyy longer than most… but maybe I’m wrong hehe
@@kanyekubrick5391 Many things to unpack there. You think Reggaeton and trap *aren't* dance music??? That's completely inaccurate for one. Second point is, of course IL aren't going to source anything outside of the official forum, because it's the best way to tell that you actually do own a real license and therefore are worth being listened to :D There even is an occasional nod to trap in this very video. Now as for the reggaeton stuff, do remember it's an english speaking context here. I have never in my whole 15+ years of music production met a reggaeton producer who A: owned a legit copy of FL Studio and B: mainly spoke english.
Thank you for everything. Again and again, you show respect for your customers and continue to keep FL the best daw on the market. Been with you since FL7. 🙌🏻
WOW!..Love the Colorful waveforms feature and Update without closing FL studio and the Python feature...You're making coders out of us!! ...FL Studio just keeps getting better.!!!
Thank you Image Line for continuing to make FL one of the best around, the piano roll is definitely among the best, now the playlist and mixer need some love; by the way when FL studio plugins arrive in the form of VST? I have a multi daws workflow and I really miss the Fl studio plugins.
The only daw developers who care about their community I don't use your product but I wish you everything best you truly deserve it! You gave to people so much opportunity for developing their ideas but also to make money in order to support their family. Well done guys!
I love FL Studio. There are many useful updates here. The mixer is so simple now. And everything is at hand. This is my favorite and the best Daw. I will never leave you. Poland
Midi jitter fix is amazing!! Guys are doing things that no one else wants to do with your updates!!! hoping this starts a trend of companies actually repairing old issues that plague us still.
Another awesome update. One thing i realise is that while FL has a rep that it's a toy or something for beatmakers, someone at ImageLine really loves and cares about music composers of the kind who put notes on paper. That piano roll is such a powerful tool.
