I had the same problem with massive before. You fix it by opening massive in FL studio, press "options" up in the left corner, and then on the right side you will find "don't allow keyboard focus." Click it and it should work just fine :)
Thanks! 99% of the time i draw them out. If i play them, they're always going to be slightly off. However, occasionally i'll play a more complicated melody before i forget it, then fix it up so it's on beat.
Like SupaPuma said, you don't need nexus for VEC.. They're two completely different addons. Did you pirate Massive? That could be why.. I'm not sure of any real way of fixing it, just try to adapt to it. You could always try making a few notes on the piano roll and then playing them while moving around the knobs, that'll stop it from muting. Hopefully.
Nexus is useful for two things imo, natural sounds (piano, orchestra, etc...) and placeholders (if you want to get a nice melody down first then make the lead later).

For the NI Massive response, I did Pirate it, so I thought that was why, so I download a demo instead with intent of buying it afterwords, but in the demo, the same occurred, looks like I'll need to adapt to it haha. thanks again for the response.

Nexus is good if you LIVE on presets. Honestly, I think it's better to use other VSTs and produce your own custom sounds. Only time I really use presets is if I'm lazy, I need kicks or percussion, or I want to learn something.

Two questions that are killing me 1) Do you need Nexus ReFx for the VEC packs. 2) Would you know why NI Massive is not working for me when I try to make a sound and move the knobs why it stops working (I need to click "massive" in the step seq to get it to work again)? Please and thanks.
I have Sylenth1 and I can't find "LD - QLeyemax" Did you create that from just a plain Init or am I just blind and should look through the presets again..? Haha
it's ghost channels in the piano roll. click piano roll > click the down arrow > helpers > ghost channels. do your chord or scale notes in one piano roll with no sample on it, then open a new piano roll on the sample you're gonna use and you've got that grid.
