You are so right. What's worse is there is little to no collaberation between FL users. Being able to team up with other FL users at the beginning to intermediate in their FL journey would be awesome. If such an idea rings anyone's bell, pls gimme a holler.
It's taken me nearly 20 years to get to this point, but I now believe FL to be the best DAW there is in almost every possible way, and the help here on RU-vid is a very big part of that. Other DAW makers clearly treat this as some weird afterthought, rather than an important factor in what makes some people choose which DAW to pursue.
I'm watching this for the third time now and each time I am learning something new that I had forgotten from the last video because there's so much functionality in Slicex. This is really a great tool.
This tool is amazing, versatile, powerful and overengineered (in the best way). I've been using it for years, and there are still a lot of things I learned by watching the video. Keep up the good work Image-Line!
Great vid. More tutorials of everything that makes FL STUDIO stand out. This DAW is capable of a lot things but people don't know so do the right thing...
please add concrete values to the "type in value" function especially on the pitchshift one in slicex. i want to see that value in cents not some weird percent/ratio value
just like any other native FL instrument plugin you can see the parameter you are editing in the hint panel / hint bar. the master pitch function of slicex displays it's value in cents.
@@uamee you're right, but you are gonna struggle setting it to one specific value. They continuesly add better value representation to their native plugin, but never this one in slicex.
Just stating my opinion here. FL did a huge job.We all know the huge benefits of this amazing software with all those very nice options, great mixer and badass plugins. The problem starts as you try to arrange 50 or 60 or 100 channels and all their automations. Many problems occur when you try to manage all these channels in the playlist. At this exact point, I need to transfer my project into another DAW. FL studio has the most beautiful workflow.It's just need a bit of Ableton's flexibility and the Cubase's Audio editing and channel management system.
Do you assign mixer tracks to each row in the playlist? You can have automations sent directly under whatever playlist row your automating then use the drop down arrow to condense if you do. I use tons of automation and keep it very organized. After learning this i have no idea why people just drag and drop a million samples into the playlist that arent linked to the mixer, but if you do i can see why itd be hard to manage.
this is such a great plugin you guys made! i've made tutorials myself about this one. you can make really cool vocal chop drops with this one! good job guys!
I just wanna point out that while you're waiting for your favorite plugin to get a video, the manual has existed for just as long as the software, knock yourselves out 👍
Yeah, would be nice to have a destination tempo setting built into the time stretch window. You have to calculate length in ms or percentage. I just workaround by time stretching with Sampler channel and dragging back into SliceX.
Just use RU-vid. There is more than enough info here. The main challenge is connecting the tutorials to the ideas in your head. Only experience or connecting with other producers can help you with that. Don't expect shortcuts. Dive into the software/theory and learn stuff yourself. That's the way you make your own sound and gain actual valuable tools and skills. Otherwise ejay music maker is more for you.
This is of course an indispensable tool. For sound design, this is just gold. For example, it is valuable that I can make the sound monophonic right inside the Slicex, and panoramine there, for each individual slice, you can make its panoraming. But look at how it loads the project in terms of its size in bytes. When you have one Slicex in the project, it seems to be nothing, but when you put them five or more, your project may approach the size of a gigabyte. Pay attention to it. This is very bad, in terms of saving free space on the disk.
@FL_STUDIO can you add newtone to fl studio mobile in the upcoming upcoming updates. Or there is no choice to manually auto tune the user's voice in mobile. It's really important to manually auto tune the singer's voice, i wish you had seen my suggestion 😢
Can you please add an option to revert to the old workflow of FL Studio as it has been for years- prior to the 21 update? Or sometime between 20 and 21. Double clicking a multi-instrument/midi pattern in the playlist opens the piano roll for one of the instruments, but does not show the channel rack at the same time, or under the piano roll window. Clicking the escape button puts you back to the playlist, and you need to manually open the channel rack..
Is there a reverse option to selected areas of the sample? I might've missed it, also time warping option would make sliceX the sickest plugin, thank you ❤
I want to put a sample in Slicex and set it to play to end, and record while playing the keyboard to make a loop, but the moment I turned on play to end, the notes kept overlapping. Do you happen to know a way to solve this problem?
I found a bug and help to fix this problem. (Unless its just my version) but when I have patterns in the Playlist artang area. The one-shots in the browser are really low volume.
I'm just starting to use this thing, how do I make it so that fl studio stops asking me to remove the damn thing whenever I try to save my project? I keep getting the files too large or smth. Does it have monolitic mode like Directwave so that I can turn it off?
