Well not so much dead now that I think about it, just wildly unpopular in America I would say. Maybe it has a chance to come back, but that's dependent on how EDM evolves and what not.
Honestly, this sounds mainly like speedcore with some breakcore elements to me. Then again I haven't listened to a lot of breakcore, just some songs from Venetian Snares mainly. Regardless, this is amazing!
If you've listened to vsnares you woulda ran into gabber kick heavy breakcore tracks eventually, they're kinda like this but a lot rougher and darker sounding That aside, the only thing that defines breakcore are the creative and complex chopped breaks/drum programming, so harmonically and sonically you could have wtv other sounds you want Final sketch is Japanese and jcore is popular in Japan, that being said, jcore has a lot more modern production compared to contemporary breakcore, so it's no surprise you'd hear jcore influences on final sketches stuff
This is actually pretty awesome - and not only when one considers that it's made on fruity loops o.O! Great job dude! Although i gotta agree with Lesko - it sounds more like sped up neurofunk than breakcore à la aphex twin or venetian snares...but it's still sick ^_^!
+mugen jin thats fucking bullshit, you can do everthing in every daw. the difference mostly just lie in how the program looks and where the buttons are
have a look at tracker DAW´s like renoise. thats what vsnares also uses as far as i know. That kind of software is the key to breakcore. nevertheless, basically every daw is the same, and its just about the workflow in my opinion
This is so fucking cool. Feels like I'm discovering the genre for the first time again. Is there a subgenre of breakcore that's more similar to this? I feel like most songs aren't as hard/aggressive.
to be renard it needs to be acid pro and modplug tracker and not FL Studio.... you want to see hell, try writing speedcore/breakcore in a tracker. ren is insane in more ways than I can count.
more like DnB than breakcore. It has speed, but that doesnt necessarily make it sound like breakcore. Its like sped up DnB. Good job on the producing though
