+ Ableton and it's plugins are really beautiful as it is it doesn't need fancy looking plugins. Minimalism is what I love about Ableton

@@CoberlightShow 1, fl doesn't have one either and 2, to build one on either daw, its the same. Take your eq abd your volume follower/peak controller and map it to a bell u want to be dynamic and then have the signal inverted from the volume follower to duck dynamically instead of boosting. U can dynamic eq itself or put the volume follower or peak controller on whatever u are using as a volume based input to duck frequencies of another sound.

Automation are way more profound and versatile in FL studio tho, and that's why they may be a lil bit more confusing to use. But if you know how to use them, you can do stuff that you can't do in ableton

@@trgrgtgrtgr7724 That's definitely false. I've spent a lot of time online and the consensus between both fl and ableton users has always been that automation is Ableton is much more refined. In fl you need to create a new row for every parameter you want to automate simultaneously. In Ableton automation data is attached to the individual midi clip, you could have a hundred different automatons going all at once without needing the hundreds of rows like you'd need in FL.

@@trgrgtgrtgr7724 And in Ableton since the automation is part of the midi clip/pattern you can drag around, copy past, shrink, grow and slice the midi all you want without having to scroll around and re-adjust every single automation.

I've said that the automation in FL are more profound and versatile, not that they are more pratical or easy to use, that's two different things. In FL you have tons more of options to draw your automation, you can use a step sequencer to generate automation, you can smooth out whole automation clip, you can automate parameter with midi data, you can use event, you can assign an infinite number of paramater to an automation, you can use different formula to change how the automation behave with each parameter and im forgetting a lot here. All things that you can't do with ableton's automation. So as i said in my very first post. FL automation might be more confusing but they are much more versatile and powerful. But hey, nice try bro 😉

Fl studios workflow is so bloated compared to other daws. You have to manually route every track, wrangle patterns, etc. Fl studios is a good program but it will take an experienced fl user like twice as long to make the same song than it would any other daw lol.

@@xddude true, but with enough learning, fl studio becomes extremely easy to master.

@@raylectro I've never really understood why they say FL good for beginners. The learning curve is basically the same as any other daw. I think people like it for the price.

@IM Wercs when I started using fl I saw a simple and intuitive UI so it was easy for me to learn , ableton is kinda hard

@@fabiosoares7660 Ableton is easy, it just looks hard. I thought it was hard but I was overcomplicating it. There _is_ no mixer like in FL. Each row on the playlist carries the effects for all of the content on that row. FL teaches you to do so much extra stuff that just isn't part of the Ableton workflow so it just kinda throws you.

really! reaper can be like ableton or fl studio and any daw you know. There are no impossible things in reaper, you can script anything you want, even making a whole track)) But there is one bad thing - the built in plungins is absolutely sucks, you can only use a few pluggins like a eq, comp, and the rest 99% plugins are trash. And this is the reason why i switched to ableton, because abletons pluggins are very high quality and some of them doesn't have vst analogues or very high price. But ableton has awful workflow, it's absolutely inconviniet, it's like developers never used another DAWs

And the Record Audio/ Midi is so much easier in Ableton than in FL studio it was a nightmare trying to record something in FL (but maybe it's Just me)

and also abletons warping algorithms are miles ahead of fl studios. everything is also made unique for you, so you never have to deal with pressing ”make unique”. I don’t get why people say that fl studio is easier, because ableton is just way more easier to grasp and the workflow makes more sense imho. this is coming from a guy who started on fl studio and then switched to ableton. I love both daws.
