Team Liquid should have been a juggernaut with this roster. For them to seriously contemplate Benching Cadian is a major red flag. I agree with Fl0m 100%. They should be better but someone has a horrible mindset. It needs to be fixed ASAP (Which I hope it does). "Let Cadian be Cadian" should be a no-brainer...
cadian is IGL/AWP which means if you kick him there’s two options 1.Yekindar goes to IGL and they sign an AWPER 2.They kick another player and sign an AWPER and an IGL Both of those options seem really bad when they obvious choice is to kick Yekindar

Of all the people to kick, cadian???????? WHAT?? How the fuck would you replace an awp-IGL? No shot kekindar goes IGL again, he's already playing abysmal as is. And even if you do, you probably can't find an awper of cadian's caliber, let alone finding a good international IGL. If changes have to be made, and it definitely looks like it, then we know who to sub and that's def not cadian.
yekindar is long gone, at one point was the best entry in the world, cadian was at his peak back in heroic, the rest skullz is meh, naf is rain 2.0 can be insane but the majority of time he is average, twistzz might be the best player but he already won it all, theres no motivation or true belonging in this prefabricated team.
Considering benching cadian (awp/igl/clutch god who has only been there like 3 months) before yekindar is genuinely stupid. Yekindar is not doing his job in the server properly, constantly throws rounds, and half the time is playing like a weird psuedo lurker role instead of being the entry fragger he was famous for being. I also have a hard time believing yekindar is not the problem because Yekindar was good when he was first signed with liquid and filled the gap left by stewie, but when he tried to bring his style into liquid they very clearly got worse and he individually was always worse when he tried to get away from the entry fragger role.
cadiaN's numbers in 2024 haven't been at his level (usually around 1.1 he is at 1.03) but if you can honestly tell me that a guy who is IGLing a completely new identity and is CLEARLY being told to reduce his energy, despite the fact that that is what makes him who he is, is the problem, then you are a joke. Especially because cadiaN is still the 3rd highest rated player on the team behind the Canadians! and, like fl0m said, THEY ARE JUST OUTSIDE THE TOP 10
Yekindar has simply been a joke of a player on liquid. When is the last time this guy was actually good? What is he doing on this team? How does kicking your AWP IGL who has been actually performing decently (not great but decent) solve anything? There have been years since this guy actually looked good on the server but somehow he is still considered on the level to play on this type of a team... wtf...

Skullz has been a lot more consistent I think he was rough at first but I think he is a great player. Yekindar you are just right about that dude is falling off hard and i have no idea why.

The issue with Liquid is the same as in many other orgs. Dogshit GMing. And its the IGLs that pay the price. I remember this with aleksib when he was in his previous teams.

Still bewilders me they chose skullz over jks. He already had existing chemistry with twistzz (katowice when he subbed) and NAF (in his short stint with renegades) won titles with both. No sense made.
cadian is absolutely not the problem on liquid. I'm not big brained enough to fully understand what their problem is (aside from just yeki playing bad), but I know for sure it's not cadian.
Kicking a player who basically has 2 roles is bad. Because then the replacement with the same roles they're gonna try to find will be atrocious. Just bench /kick Yekindar, he's been ass lately.
there is teams that have been together for years before making any finals. what the fuck is this - didnt make the finals on every single tournament, cause the competition is so good. who in liquid is so delusional thinking they will win smth in the near future. doesnt even matter which player they have on the team. stop replacing players after few weeks. they literally have a guy who has his face 2 cm in front of the screen, he cant even see all the information that is neccessary during the crucial parts of the rounds. dont tell me that is okay he has to turn his head to see ammo and HP, that is literally what makes him not be known for anything else than his mediocre aim. in fact checking any info on the screen is way more defective when sitting that close, compared to sitting in a normal distance to the monitor. you just slightly sway you eyes and back to the crosshair, or radar. it feels natural. what yekindar is doing there just looks like it literally hurts when you would try playing like that.
Cadian is not the reason they are losing. They should give them time OR remove Yekindar. He clearly has challenges shutting up and letting cadian do his work

Completely new roster & they are already considering kicking Cadian? These things take time, probably not helped that Yerkindar & Skullz have been very poor. It would be a stupid move to kick him, but then again, it is TL & they make stupid decisions
Liquid management is just drunk. Idk who part of the problem is but my guess would be yekindar since Liquid also kicked elige just to keep him. If they wanna kick cadiaN, another team will be happy to pick him up, maybe Fnatic now that they seem to wanna invest into their CS roster again. Why would you even bring cadiaN in if you don't like his system? Seems like someone in Liquid is just too soft.
They did all those get togethesr, retreats and doing sauna together just to be like this lol. Ngl, I think having Twistzz in the roster made Liquid having a pressure on the self because the whole Liquid resigning Twistzz thingy was marketed as he wanted to win his 3rd IGS with Liquid lol it's not Twistzz's fault thoo but I guess the GM of Liquid CS is not having a good time with the recent results esp. with the Major. Oh they get an AWP/IGL replacement lined up buddy....ART! Worse awper for sure, but on the flip side Cadian's calling has been sus from time to time too. The pro league lets send it mid against T with pistols happened on several maps and cost them rounds. I like Cadian as a player, he's a good awper and he's clutch, but his calling has been suspect as shit. Honestly, I don't know what's up with liquid, it's truly like the org is cursed. I think they have to mover on from Yekindar though, your star entry fragger can't just disappear every other map. Also Yekindar is almost predictably aggressive. he's all gas no brakes. When you see him play banana as T against a good team he gets exposed over and over and over.
I have no idea what is going on in the Liquid team so I feel like I have next to no right to make judgments about the team. I am a fan though so that does give me some right. I’d just leave the team together beca they’ve been constantly improving even with the issues they’ve had. If the environment is just terrible then I suppose changes have to be made, but it’s very difficult for me to think cadian is the problem. At least in the server he isn’t. Also just make me sad that liquid seems to be getting ready to make another garbage decision after actually having put together a team that is showing signs of improvement.
You say they got unlucky at the RMRs but its Team Liquid. The flagship org for NA and with the players they have and the amount of money spent on the project, they absolutely should have beat both Col and Furia. I feel like with these mix of players creates a clash of ideas and culture. Two brazilians, two canadians, a danish player and a latvian. The difference on how each player thinks about the game causes everyone to be out of touch.

If cadian is kicked then NAF and Twistzz should leave and replace Hunter and Nexa on G2, or Flamez and Mezii on Vitality. I know these are crazy moves and will never happen but man I feel like these rosters would be sick.

for an igl to do work, the players have to buy into the system, im pretty sure naf doesnt care and will buy into it regardless, twistzz left NA to buy into karrigans system, and he went back to NA to buy into cadians system and twistzz has a good track record of staying in teams and loving the igl so i dont think he is the problem, skullz is too much of a rookie to want changes, so it comes down to yekindar and zews or the liquid owners/managment, wtf are you frauds doing, it pains me to be a liquid fan, what i had to witness over these years has been dogshit, just stick to one fucking lineup and if change needed, not the igl, you saw 2018, the year started slow even when naf wanted out, but they became the solidified 2nd best team even without proper awp, this liquid can be a number 1 team if skullz and yekindar start fragging, i simply dont get it, still a liquid fan tho except my lifespan has probably halved

Skullz can be revived though, but Yekindar is just bad. He stopped playing good, when he started to try to implement his vision to this team. He's just a big ego, no skill player rn. @@will1929 not sure how it's gonna work out in a team, but they often played pugs together and they get along really well. and of course yekindar would need to adapt to s1mple and not vice versa because s1mple is the super star (if he would ever get his old form back, if not and he stays washed, bye bye i guess).
I hope cadiaN leaves. He deserves better than some trash NA team with zero teamplay. NA will never accomplish anything significant in the global CS scene. Even someone like Elige would be way better off joining a real EU team.
Twistzz has been wanting to main awp so they would just need an igl and i dont think cadians style works well for liquid. I think the play makes sense tbh

Also just based on what I've seen and heard ( 'passing the eye test' so-to-speak) and like you said, I'm not saying I'm an expert or could do anyone else's job better than them, but I'm not sold on any of the Mind, Body or whatever the fuck this guy was spewing in those same videos. It's too soft, too much bullshit. It's Counter-Strike. We're talking about Counter-Strike. That bit about no identity, I think rings true in all of this, because when you have goals but no identity or foundation and feel like you have to artificially create chemistry or bonding? If the players want to do group therapy and bonding and whatever, I fully support that. But that probably shouldn't be content for the org. It needs to be because the players want to improve as a group.
i don't know what this audio clipping is but it sounds horrendous on fl0m clips, i had to go check my headphones havent shit themselves it sounds that bad. makes these clips unwatchable for me
