NA is slowly starting to take notice, teams like carpe diem are semi-known while teams like regain now have some chances to show up out of the woodwork. The bigger issue is, as stated, the orgs themselves majority doing nothing or just outright wasting money and damaging the scene like EG. That, and there's next to no documentation: Even if I wanted to support all of the lower level NA teams, barely any of their matches get properly posted to hltv at all. Zucar CANNOT, for example, only have 8 maps played total from 2023 onwards at 23 for example, I'd love to see some more past games, but instead the best we've got are some clips on his yt/ joke vids with grizz and some other names we now know from regain. The rest of his history? Relegated to esea/ faceit match pages that are far more annoying to find, if anything at all Having that information be more readily available would be a gigantic boon for the growth of the scene in general, not only to it's players, but also the fanbase; finding that potential talent and following their career early can be a really fun way to connect with the game, the same way talent scouts themselves probably do (with additional work, but it's part of it). To deprive a potentially sizable portion of a scene like that is a kneecap to end all kneecaps lol
Imo I think it’s easier for teams like mouz to fund an academy team plus scouts and stuff because they’re not in a bunch of different games for example no way liquid will be absor to fund the main roster plus academy plus the Val team and other games they’re in
It's still insane to me how liquid keeps saying yes to utterly deranged shit. Signing fallen, signing shox, signing patsi and rainwaker, not listening to twistzz (who won a major soon after), listening to stewie and yekindar over the actual fuckin IGLs at the time, potentially kicking cadian b.c of "vibes", giving osee 2 full years that ended up being statistically identical to JDMs ~2, somehow missing out on p much every single talked about player (flamez being the most recent) signing skullz for the same amount as m0nesy, what the FUCK??????
@@scapegoat4 I think rainwalker would've been interesting just that he didn't quite seem ready for tier 1. having patsi and yekindar at the same time was not the best idea. They definitely might want an academy team to at least develop the talent they find first cus they sometimes get great people that can't transition well to tier 1 play
Faze already have Faze NXT as their academy. (MOUZ) In all seriousness, Vitality talked about potential academies 3 times in the past 5 years and it didn’t end up happening.
need a major in charlotte, would be a unique city/state, large local population and close enough to travel to for plenty of other cities, and east coast for better EU times
For me personally, would love to see it happen either in Chicago or Denver. I do agree that Dallas is a bit troll. Maybe something on the east coast could also make sense for the people in Europe
I will be entirely honest, would love a chicago major at some point (im EU) and its good to get a major in the US. I'll be real other than maybe some old NA organiser like ELEAGUE or something, blast is probably the best organiser to do this. Like let's be honest they have the best production, in my opinion, of any of the TO's. Minimal tech issues, at least with stuff under their control. if BLAST makes a hype us major, that would be sick.
Hopefully more than the Paris major. But you cannot expect them to have anywhere near as much as ESL. ESL is a MUCH bigger company with way more employees available to produce content. They're also bankrolled by the Saudi government, which helps.
