Its a bitter cold day in 1978, and we are trackside with a old Kodak Super 8mm sound movie camera. We are just north of the Bear Mountain bridge on the east shore of the Hudson River on the old NYC Water Level Route in New York. The first train has FL9's north bound in push pull fashion. He is seen blowing the Handcock Air whistle as he passes. Then n/b Amtrak #63, the Niagara Rainbow passes with fantastic echoing horns in the river valley. Then a s/b Amtrak turbo blast past with even better sounding horns. Sorry for the quality, and shaky old film. Thanks for watching. Jackmp294™...
