Flagler has been my favorite "go to" beach since I moved to this region of Florida @20yrs ago (originally from Boca Raton). Lived in St. Augustine for 16 yrs & bought a home in Palatka near the riverfront @4yrs ago. Flagler Beach is a small pocket of what's left of "old Florida" on the Atlantic with no high-rises on the beach & fun eclectic vibe. Once affordable, but as with everywhere else along the coastline the upper echelon has discovered it making it unaffordable for the local native's who work in the hospitality Ind etc. 95% of the residents are very upset that a new "Margarita-ville" is being built where the little town square that had a nice Sat farmer's mkt & hosted a nice local Xmas display & other small local type events....will now be replaced with a parking garage for the resort etc. Flagler beach up until this point, has been all "Mom & Pop" type motels & restaurants (no big box chain's etc) & the residents (& visitors) LIKE it that way. Neighboring Palm Coast has all those type things & is conveniently close over the bridge etc. Btw, the cinnamon colored sand is actually what's left real COQUINA. Thank's for passing thru & I really enjoy your videos 😊
OMG A Margaritaville and a parking garage? That is HIDEOUS. Especially since the residents seem to have no say? I feel pretty sorry for the most recent generations, this is all they are going to know. They will never be able to see the beaches as they were, and probably won't even be able to afford going to them. The sand there is so unique, being the color that it is and color of the water makes it all look like a painting. I spent lots of time up on that pier, watching the surfers, and sun sprinkle diamonds across the water. That pier - every one of the boards that you walk on, has a memorial to someone's loved one etched in it. I also put one out there for a good friend. The drive from Ormond Beach to Flagler is sweet, with a wide open view of the sea. This really still has old Florida vibes to it, people should fight the gentrification with all they've got, to leave their town alone!!
My favorite part about NE FL is the sheer amount of tree canopy it has. Still has palm trees, but the amount of tall trees, spanish moss and forests adds a bit of a northern feel to it. When you're out and about, at a park or on a trail, you're going to get a lot more natural shade from the trees. Compared to SWFL (Cape Coral) that has very little tree canopy, it's open and barren, there's little relief from the heat you're exposed to the sun way more
Used to fish along Flagler. Loved it. Didnt see the pier. I guess they didnt rebuild it after Hurricane Michael. You crack me up with the different voices & accents.
Pier is still there. End of it took a hit so they closed it. It is @18:39 in video. Ian was the storm that closed it. Plans is to rebuild it as concrete and be completed by October 2026.
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS you actually WERE berating your wife, though. I used to watch your vids quite often, but did t want to hear you talk down to her, so I stopped watching. You popped up on my feed a couple weeks ago, so I decided to follow y’all again. Just show your wife some love and public respect. She deserves that from you
The only way to make money is to have both Uber and Lyft on at the same time and do the best offer that comes to you from either app,you only do one you are limiting yourself.
👀Minute 3:15 was really terrible to hear, 👀Minute 3:48 again you threaten to hit your wife, then you turn up the music like to play it down. This video was very difficult to 👎HEAR, not entertainment when someone is being threatened multiple times by their spouse which is an arm's length away while driving. The fact that you think it's a joke or that we don't support Katy in her Realtor business? What? Our family was actually going to contact her real soon for assistance in looking for a home. When RESPECT is gone from any relationship it's gone for good. Berating your wife while driving can cause a terrible accident, ins't that what you were trying to avoid. JOSE, think TWICE before you speak, specially before belittling anyone. Hopefully you can take constructive criticism and grow as a person.
So far NONE of you have actually bought anything from here i’ma pull the pull on this money pit soon. You all TALK about helping her but none of you have actually used her. Hypocrites
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS actually Hastings has quite a bit of history connected to Henry Flagler....and its an amazing farming community. I know I live here. It's definitely much better than anything pasco co has to offer, especially moon lake 🙄
